Even nicer washed down with a pint or threeLooks yummy. I need to try one some day.
Certainly did, was a delight to travel by train and something you looked forward to, " ONCE ", then here as over there the bean counters got involved. There are many old branch lines that would be fantastic tourist train routes if they had not been ripped up, just so much lack of foresight. But at least you and i were lucky enough to enjoy good old fashioned train trips and travel.I see the romance of rail travel went down the toilet in your country as well as mine.
NO, the " Offspring of Unknown Parentage "What a beautiful loco. Is that still running?

NO, the " Offspring of Unknown Parentage "scrapped it in 1954, an absolute disgrace and tragedy. It would be a major tourist attraction if it had have been kept and maintained.

Keighley & Worth Valley Railway - Wikipedia
en.wikipedia.org
Fascinating stuff LeonProject update, have had the blade opener soaking in the solution for 4 weeks now, something happened during the week that i have no explanation for, the solution started to produce a lot more bubbles. Bubbles indicate the solution is still active, so maybe there is more dye starting to be leeched out, only a guess, but there has to be a reason. So i am just going to leave it now and see what happens and how much dye is leeched out, also want to see the reaction to the metal in the solution over a long period of time. This maybe handy to know for future reference for any members that want to try this method. A few of photos from 4 weeks ago till this morning, there is no doubt the bone is a lot lighter in colour.

After seeing these results will most definitely continue the experiment with a re dye.
Hope everyone has a good week.![]()

Absolutely mate, we might have a few less cars on the road if we still had a decent rail networkFantastic reading and history. It is very easy to destroy or pull something down, but once it's gone, it's gone forever. Good to see you have preservation societies keeping your history alive.

Great-looking Lambsfoot JJ
Thanks for blessing this thread with these new pics GaryLast day of Cracker Jack's "week in the sun", so I'll post a couple final pics of his turn as Lambsfoot of the Week. They're actually brand new photos, which I almost never do. But today was sunny with temps in the mid 60s, so I took some knives out for a walk and photo shoot.
