Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Your HB has certainly put on a little color Jack, looks good. I hope you get your walkabout today, and maybe run into a mate or two at the market!

Thanks Alan, that's a superb pic of RALF, it really captures the details of the knife, the bolster, and stippling, well. I am pleased the etch has survived so well :)
Sorry you got called back early, Jack.
Given the state of your delivery system, I'd be surprised if you made it back before it closes.
It was worth it John, and fortunately, I was only back home an hour or so :) Thankfully, it was the post office who were delivering the package. They're a long way from perfect, but more reliable than the numerous unscrupulous courier firms who now ply their trade here  I thought I'd treat my pal to chips and gravy ;) :)

Good Morning Guardians
Your Lamb shows great character my friend :)
That sounds complicated.
I remember a quirky thing that used to be common when ordering a bottle of beer in Austin. Instead of being served the chilled, open bottle with a normal beer glass, a lot of places would bring a small juice glass. The theory, I believe, was that the beer stayed colder in the bottle, so you would pour yourself little 4 oz. shots of beer. It was kind of fun, and gave you something to do with your hands.
Indeed! When I was teaching English in France, I used to tell my students that it was possible to get a large glass of beer, in a British pub, with only one word of English - "Pint!" :D Those days are gone unfortunately :( That's interesting Rachel. There's a bottled beer here called Newcastle Brown, which is served in pint glasses, but traditionally drunk in a half pint glass. I always find that when I drink like that, I drink more though! :D
Here's my Bagpipe Big-un, two years from new:

Great comparison pics Rachel, I'm glad that you have been enjoying the Big 'Un :) In some ways it doesn't seem like two years ago, but what different times they were! 😏

Rose Beast looks good Jer :) I have Flitzed my Rosewood Big 'Un a couple of times, so it has changed quite a bit over the years

The stag does look warmer in color, but that might be from different lighting or camera effects. Looking good either way!

Yes, almost impossible for me to get consistent lighting. I hadn't actually been aware of the stag ageing, but studying it in my hand, I can see that it has, particularly the pile side. Thank you :)

I'm hoping they come soon, so I can return to the market
Waiting, while self-soothing with a nice coffee & break.
As I'm back home several earlier than expected, I'm now in a position to post some comparison pics of my stag Hartshead Barlow

Here it is in June 2019:

I'd say that vintage stag, which could easily be 50 years old, has aged a little, but perhaps not as much as if I didn't carry it in a pocket slip
Get’s more beautiful with age, I’d say.

Good Morning Guardians

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone has made it through another week in good form. My pal is calling round at 9.00am, with his dog, and we're going to go for a walk in the park, and hopefully get a coffee, and maybe a piece of cake ;) Hope everyone has a good day :)

A sunny day at last here in Yorkshire! :) Cold, but a nice day for a walk in the park with my pal, and his daft dog ;) Unfortunately, the cafe in the park was only doing takeaway coffees, so I had to take pics one-handed

Some pretty nice photos of your HHB my friend. Looks to be sunny out? Anyway, we have had a run of sunny days here and the temperature is climbing into the high 50's today and may go up to the 60's. Not too shabby for January, I'de say.

Hello Guardians, hope you all are well. Today our house guests are departing for Florida after a weeks stay with my wife and I. Had fun playing golf with my brother-in-law and my wife took the girls out for several excursions in our area. Things will get back to normal now. Used my HHB numerous times for all sorts of activities.

Thank you Bill, it's only in the 40's here, but still a nice day :) It sounds like you have had a nice week my friend :) Great pic of your Hartshead Barlow 😎👍

Looks like a beautiful park.
Glad you were able to get out and enjoy it.

Thanks John, it is a nice park, I wish it was a little nearer :) 👍

Good Morning Guardians and TGIF
I'm looking forward to the three day weekend.

Ace pic of your regular Lambsfoot buddy :) I didn't realise you had a 3 day weekend. Well, that's good news :) Have a great one 👍
