Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Have a good night, Jack, and have fun at the market tomorrow. 🤠

My weekly rotation schedule ended last week and caused a warp in the space-time continuum. So this week I'm doing something different, that I plan to stick with through the end of February. I'll explain the specifics when I have a little more time, but due to the upcoming 7 weeks of "new approach", my lambsfoot this week happens to be Black Jack again:
Here he is, almost new, in June 2018:

Intriguing Gary :) Thanks for the great pics of Black Jack ageing gracefully, really interesting to see :)

Jack, quick question how much as your stag “aged” on your HHB? I’d love to see a “before & after,” picture!

Interesting question Taylor :) It's just after 6am here, and I'm just on my way to the market, but I'll post some pics later my friend

Good morning Guardians, hope everyone has a good day 👍

Awesome thanks Jack! Have a nice day, I’m gonna go for a snooze I believe. 😴

As I'm back home several earlier than expected, I'm now in a position to post some comparison pics of my stag Hartshead Barlow

I'd say that vintage stag, which could easily be 50 years old, has aged a little, but perhaps not as much as if I didn't carry it in a pocket slip

Thanks for the pictorial trip down memory lane, GT. 🤠
Hope it was as relaxing as it sounds, Todd. 🤠
Sorry you got called back early, Jack.
Given the state of your delivery system, I'd be surprised if you made it back before it closes.
I see more color change than anything else, it's some very durable material. 🤠
Cool picture, Jeff. 🤠

Very rare I drink that much beer these days :D With one exception, none of the beers was stronger than 5.5% ABV though ;) I don't think you're alone in that Gary, almost all British pubs serve their beer in pints, or in half-pints, with the better pubs using glasses which contain a full pint of beer, with space for the 'head' (the froth or foam). In recent years, some of the modern, trendy, 'craft ale' type bars have started messing about though, using, variously; pint glasses, half-pint glasses, 'schooners' (2/3 pint glasses), 1/3 pint glasses, 1/2 litre glasses, and litre glasses  When I was younger, if you asked for a pint, you would be given a pint of bitter (ale), and if you asked for a 'glass', you would be given a half-pint of bitter, but first, if you were purchasing more than one drink, you would probably be asked if you wanted the half in a 'lady's glass', or otherwise! :D Inches are the same, and feet, and yards, though younger folks tend to use metric units. Pounds and ounces are also the same, but there are some additional units in use here. For example, if it is not given in metric form, the weight of a person is given in stones and pounds, rather than just pounds, a stone being 14lb. And to further confuse things, if you ask for a pint in Sheffield, you might well get a pint of Stones!
That sounds complicated.
I remember a quirky thing that used to be common when ordering a bottle of beer in Austin. Instead of being served the chilled, open bottle with a normal beer glass, a lot of places would bring a small juice glass. The theory, I believe, was that the beer stayed colder in the bottle, so you would pour yourself little 4 oz. shots of beer. It was kind of fun, and gave you something to do with your hands.

Very nice to see the aging of a Lambsfoot.

The stag does look warmer in color, but that might be from different lighting or camera effects. Looking good either way!
