Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Whew! it’s a tough week so far Jack my friend, but we will get there!
Have an awesome day / night wherever you are Guardians 😊👍
Sorry to hear that Duncan, I hope it gets easier
Jack, that African Blackwood is a real Sweetheart of a Knife! Like you say Great work done on those Knives
Thanks a lot mate, it's some real nice wood isn't it? Here's another look at that one

Some great pictures shown by everyone, and I especially like the black and white castle pictures by Jack.

I thought it would be interesting to show two similar lamb foot models side by side with around 100 years of age difference between them.
The bottom knife is easily recognizable as a Wrights model which was gifted to me by Jack.
The top model was offered by John Blyde of Sheffield and dates to right around 1920. Blyde started back to 1841 and lasted until the 1970s.
Tweedale's book states that the Blyde company stopped producing pocket knives shortly after WWI, but continued to make scissors, specializing in surgical types.

Hey buddy, it's great to see you here, it's been a while since you last dropped in :) Very interesting to see those two together, that's a nice Lambsfoot by Blyde  I just need to clarify, (because the lack of clarity has caused a great deal of harm in the past), that the lower knife is one of my SFOs, the 2019 Guardians Lambsfoot

Two nice examples - each representing their era very well my friend.
ALWAYS great to see the older Lambsfoot pop up - and man that’s a really nice one!!! 😊😊👍

Looking good Jer
Thanks for that Jack - yes….. that’s a nice one all right!
Thanks pal :)

Good morning Guardians, hope everyone is doing OK. With 2 haggis in the freezer, and a shedload of whiskey, I can't believe I forgot it was Burn's Night yesterday  Did anyone do anything? I enjoyed my Double Lambsfoot Day though :) Waiting in for a delivery this morning, but I have some work to do anyway. Have a good day Guardians

Great photo of you HHB Jack. The background colors match up nicely with the stag.

Good morning to all - another cloudy and cold morning. Going to pack up some airguns today to send off to two of my good friends who are in the hobby with me. They are rare British made Theobens that represent the zenith of airgun manufacture with hand made quality rarely seen these days. My HHB will be assisting me today with the packing.

Thank you very much Bill, that's a smashing pic of yours too :)

Interesting to see those air rifles. 30 years ago, I had a company called Jack Black Knives, and with the help of a company, who I think were called Torvac, I developed the heat-treatment for a particular Sheffield stainless steel. It was my project, but Torvac found it very interesting, and were really helpful. They told me that they had previously helped Theoben develop their technology, and that their particular type of vacuum-hardening was intrinsic to how the guns operate
I sense I should remember Burns night from previous years. [I looked it up. Now I remember. And me part Scottish!]
Isn't Burns one of those icons you don't much care for?

It's Sir Walter Scott, (the Anti-Burns), I don't much care for Jer, even though the building of my house was one of his investments ;) I don't usually do much on Burn's Night, apart from drink some whisky, and maybe have haggis, neeps, and tatties :D I do remember, about a decade ago now, having a memorable one, with my pal Ewan Maclennan, (to whom I gifted his first Burns - because Ewan is Scottish, and a bard, not because I'm mad on Burns), when we had a great feed, and drank dram after dram from my whisky library! :D

Now I have visions of you eating haggis, drinking whiskey, and reciting poetry. 🤠
I'll take the first two! :D ;)

Sometimes, we go out for curry, and have Indian Burns night! :D ;)
Good Morning Guardians.
We made it to the half way point of the week. 🤠
Yay! :) Great pic of your No1 Lamb John :)
