Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Fantastic to see you here Greg, and it was a lovely surprise to receive your letter recently :) I'll be in touch soon my friend :) Hope to see more of you here, and wishing you happy trails and great adventures. Your Lamb is ageing nicely :)

Thanks, Jack! It's good to be back for at least an appearance. We'll see if I can manage a bit more regularity. ;)

Glad to hear that the letter made it to you! Looking forward to hearing from you when you have a chance. Thanks for the well wishes for adventures. Fingers crossed that there will be some good ones this year!

I have several good coffee roasters in my area, so I try to buy freshly-roasted beans (nothing too fancy). I mostly use a French press, but I have a stove-top espresso maker, an Arabic coffee pot, and an AeroPress. Today though, I'm thinking I might head to my local cafe (Sicilian/Moroccan), which does great coffee, and then I can get a croissant on the side :D ;)
Unfortunately, many knots have different names here, but I would recommend that everyone know how to tie a Figure-of-Eight, such a versatile knot :) But let me return to this subject, after I've had my coffee, if I may. Key questions are, what are the knots for (fishing, rock-climbing, shelter construction, shoe-laces), and what are you tying (string, kernmantle rope, paracord)?

Coffee and knots!! I've decided to check in at just the right time. :D

I'm having some decaf Sumatran this morning from my French press.

I'm with you, Jeff. I made the switch to decaf at the beginning of the year and haven't looked back. I found a roaster that does a really good job with the beans and I've been enjoying my cup of coffee in the morning as much as ever. No French press for me, though, but I've been enjoying using a moka pot (a.k.a. stovetop espresso maker) recently. Now that I've got it seasoned and have the grind dialed in for the beans, I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

Guardians guarding. It’s what we do.

Yes. Yes it is. Fantastic picture, Harvey!

I was trying to think what everything might be called on your side of The Pond Greg...But I hadn't had my coffee! :D I used a moka pot, exclusively, for years. Part of the reason for the break, is that I couldn't get a trivet that would fit my stove, but I recently got a new stove, so it might be time to get it out, and give it a scrub! :D

Good morning Guardians, I definitely slept a little better last night :) Going to try and work on using my CPAP again now  Hope everyone's week got off to a good start. I was hoping I might get out for a midweek walk, but work is going to keep me busy for the next couple of days. The weather isn't great anyway  Have a good day Guardians

Still a little early here for beer to look good but that sausage sandwich looks tasty, and the HHB just pairs well with anything. 😄
For lunch, a little side salad to go with my leftover meatloaf and potatoes. have a great day Guardians. 😊👍

It's a little early to be drinking here too Todd! :D I just had some Yorkshire tea ;) That sounds like a nice lunch, and has made for a great pic :) I really need to go shopping, but I won't get a chance today

Thanks Jack, we need to shop as well, the stores around here were pretty picked over as a result of the snow storm. They are getting stuff back in stock now.

Hope things work out with your CPAP. I had a restless sleep last night so I think I will try an early nap. I have gotten used to taking about an hours nap in the afternoon (on days that I don't golf).has worked out well. Nice photo of your HHB - hope the new pillow does the trick.
Beer and sausages round at Grumble Towers today! ;) Beer delivery from the nice folks at Saltaire Brewery, sausage sandwich for lunch :)

Tasty looking sandwich and beer. Looks like you HHB got to sample the sandwich - nice photo. Since I've been dieting I have tried to stay away from bread and other carb loaded foods - at least trying to limit them. Lost a few pounds but it's leveled out. Got to hit the gym to get over the "hump".

Good morning to all you Guardians. Got my Ebony today - cutting up some cardboard for recycle today.

Glad they're stocking up again Todd :) It came as a bit of a shock when I looked in my fridge, it's far from empty, but the only veg I have is in the freezer! My local shops aren't very good, so I need to go into town to shop

Thank you for all the kind words Bill :) Sorry to hear about your restless night buddy :( I need to lose some weight myself, I've put on at least 10 pounds since the pandemic started. Back in March 2020, I'd cut out all sugar, and packed in drinking for a couple of months  Let me know if you have any tips! ;)

Your ebony Lambsfoot is looking tip-top  Great pic Bill
