Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

It's from the Watchmen movie and comics.
The phrase "Who Watches the Watchmen?" is seen throughout.
If you have not seen the movie, I cannot recommend it strongly enough... It's absolutely fantastic!

And "Here comes the sun" again.

What is this “spring” you speak of? 😁

Actually, it’s supposed to start warming up here this coming week, might even get into the 50’s a couple days, so I think the dozen or so cars and trucks out on the lake last night were just trying to get some ice fishing in while they still can.

We had a short warm spell a couple weeks ago, which prompted most folks to pull their ice houses off the lake, but I saw a video a couple days ago (which I can’t find now) where a guy cut a big cube of ice out of the lake with a very large chainsaw, and there was still about 20” of solid, clear ice. 🧊
You really do get some varied temperatures in Minnesota Barrett :) I hope things start warming up for you soon buddy :)
What a pain! 😠
I'm half-expecting them to reject the photo I sent them yesterday  What a racket!
Sounds like a pretty good day, Jack!
It was thanks Barrett, made a nice change :) I am still thinking of that coffee! :D
Hope they work out well for you, Jack. I noticed the other day that sole was separating on one of my boots. I’ve had them long enough that I’m guessing the midsole is probably deteriorating. I hardly wear them in summer, so I’m hoping they’ll hold together until it warms up, then I’ll probably have to break out my backup pair in the fall.

Nice apple-colored bone on that Lambsfoot!
Thanks pal :) Oh no! About three years ago, we went for a walk via another local town. It was summer, and the day before, I came across a pair of old Asics running shoes I hadn't worn for ages. I remembered they were pretty comfortable, and there looked to be plenty of wear left in them, so, as we were only walking on gentle paths, I thought I'd wear them, instead of my boots. We stopped off for breakfast at a cafe, and I looked down, and most of the sole was hanging off one of the shoes. The glue had gone, and I could see the other sole would be coming off in sympathy soon! We could only find a small sports shop, and I ended up having to pay about £70 ($90) for a pair of Salomon trail running shoes! To cap it off, the largest size they had were a little snug for me, and I haven't worn them since  It was an expensive mistake! o_O :D
It’s not a fair fight. 🤭View attachment 1765415
LOL! :D Cool pic Todd
Have you ever been inside David? Great to see your Hartshead Barlow out and about :)
Real beauty,
Thanks Harvey :)
Not one, but two pairs of well fitted boots, online no less. Yay! Now if you can quickly get that thing fixed, it would be a real good day. Cheers.
It was a bit of a result! :D :) The engineer was here about an hour ago, and it was a very brief visit. He said he'd have to order an expansion vessel, and will be back Monday or Tuesday, so I'll just have to manage until then. I've got the boiler running at the moment, but I suspect I'll have the same issue when it's been running a while, and have to turn it off again
Good Morning Guardians
That's a very cool pic Harvey :)
Jack, I'll sometimes see the impressions of tree leaves in the sidewalks on which I travel, and I can't help but think there must have been some days that gravity was incredibly strong there to bring leaves to earth with such force! o_O 😁
LOL! 🤣 :)
I know I've seen some really bad movies, but I think, as a survival tactic, my mind must repress any memories of them. 🤓
I know what you mean Gary! :D My mind seems to repress a lot of memories! ;)
I hate when Jack says that!:mad: 😁
🤣
Dazzling Double Lambsfoot Duo, Jack!:cool::thumbsup:

Sorry the passport renewal has turned out to be so frustrating, Jack. :(
Thank you very much Gary :)
Fancy lamb for your weekend plans, Jack!:cool::cool: A later post indicates that you had quite a good time on your Harrogate trip!
I think Harrogate is about the fanciest place in Yorkshire Gary! :D Yesterday made a nice change though :)
That's an interesting pic my friend :)

A great film John, for sure  I remember, back in '87 or '88, a friend gave me the book to read. I hadn't read many comics since I was a kid, but I said I'd give it a go. When I got home, around midnight I think, sat down, put some Bill Evans on, and started to read. I was still reading at 8.00am the next day

It's been a while but a great graphic novel also...the movie does a good job of 'condensing' it for the general audience. Very philosophical...makes you wonder what it would mean to have 'powers' and not all who has it thinks like the Superman lol.

JohnDF JohnDF btw, have you seen the new HBO mini-series? Great add to the storyline...

Lol, I undermined it when I had it...thinking...it's a book with lots of pictures...should be a quick/easy read...😵

Recycled for today...

That J. Rodgers is a real cupcake, Harvey, and 3xChocolate at that!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thank you. It is sweet.
Noteworthy knife and nachos, Harvey!:thumbsup::cool:
Thank you GT
Definitely looks like that apple was overmatched, Todd! 😁
But yesterday I grabbed an apple from my big bag of Fujis, and it must have been the Big Daddy Fuji of the bag!! I'll bet it might give your stag Big'un some stiffer competition. I put some on my cereal for breakfast both yesterday and today, so when I saw your photo, this is all I had left. But you can see that it was almost 4" in diameter.
That image measures up nicely.
Great color in that photo Harvey. 😎👍
Many thanks.

LOL! 🤣 My friend had warned me that it was a bit like a detective novel, with clues in every frame, so I really studied it! :D

Great pics Gary :)
Watchmen is easily my favorite "superhero" movie. The only other one that even comes close is Guardians of the Galaxy.
I guess I have a natural affinity for Guardians! ;)

I've not seen that Jeff :) RALF is definitely a superhero :D

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a great weekend :) I'm afraid I had another disturbed night, due to my boiler issues  Looks like a nice day here, but I have a few tedious chores to take care of before I can go out. Hope your week gets off to a good start :)
