I wonder how mitch4ging mitch4ging is, I don't recall seeing him for a while?

I'd take both, actually, Harvey! Was just alluding to the Godfather quote after someone was shot to death in a car: "Leave the gun, take the canoli."
Now I get It, Vince. Guess that sometimes, I’m not the sharpest Lambfoot in the drawer,
Whereas I had to stay in during the sunny weather yesterday, I have to go out today, so I'll be putting my 'big coat' on :D Have a good week Guardians, and enjoy carrying your Lambsfoot knives :) Starting mine with my trusty Hartshead Barlow
Two great Lambs and a “big coat“ is a great start to B’Day week.
So a shot from last summer some time.
Hope everyone's week gets off to a good start.
Such a cheerful image, David.
Good Morning Guardians
Hope your week gets off to a good start.
Great spot for your Lamb, John.

Good Morning Guardians

Good morning friends! Here is a trustworthy companion for several months now... rides in my watch pocket, unobtrusive, loved by everyone (even in California!) and a sure conversation starter.

Very nice :) Do you get many questions/comments about your Lambsfoot?
Very cool, Jack.
Interesting note; Patrick Stewart is reprising his role as Charles Xavier in the new Doctor Strange movie... or so I've heard.
I have an old friend, the same age as me, who went to the same school. We only met when we were in our early 20's. I didn't know her at school because she was in some secret hot-house unit, nobody else knew about, and was packed off to Cambridge University at 16. I always ask about the 'special unit', and if it was run by a bloke in a wheel-chair, etc. He humours me, but I don't think she actually knows what I'm talking about  :D I think her special power is a really posh accent! 🤣

The robust snap generally gets the conversation going. Most of the time we visit someone's childhood. I am also told how it is unexpected to see an old-timer knife, and many are surprised to know my journey started with the famous modern folder brands, and finally settled on traditional patterns. The brave souls who wish to handle it are coached on the snap and the nail breaker qualities. :-) Depending on the interest and time, it turns out to be a very enjoyable conversation.

I never had these may conversations when carrying GEC patterns which look like fine jewelry. In my experience, people appreciate a tool and admire jewelry. Good times.

That's a great recollection :) Very interesting reading, thank you for sharing it :)

Well put :)
The snakes will be coming out here soon (probably some out already) so thought this would be a good time to break out this Standard covered with Snakewood.

Watch yer ankles Ed! That one looks pretty good

I only have one Lambsfoot with Snakewood covers. It was a second, and John Maleham sold it me for very little, but there's not much point having fancy wood with cracks in it! :D I find it a little slim in-hand too, with the straight frame. I doubt I've carried it more than 3 or 4 times

It's been a few years since I last made a CD for someone - technology marches on - but I've just made one up for an old friend whose been having a difficult couple of years. Hope it'll cheer them up :) Pretty eclectic mix! :D

Cracks and all Jack Jack Black Jack Black that's a nice looking knife. Just a bit of Super Glue applied with the fine point of a pin in the cracks will cure the crack problem. Although it may be a bit slim in the hand, a slim knife is often desireable when bulk is not wanted in a pocket.

Thanks Ed. They epoxied the cracks at the factory, though they could have done a neater job for sure. I'm not worried about them spreading, but they are definitely very noticeable. Good point, it does have a slim pocket profile

Because you have good taste
I see what you did there. 🤣
I think her special power is a really posh accent
That power can be quite disarming. ;)
That looks amazing. Good eating, Jack. 🤠
I think I would make a horrible diet coach.

That's quote worthy. 🤠

Watch your step, young man. :)

She's convinced it is a fearful handicap  🤣

Edit - Bizarre coincidence - I'd no sooner made this post, when my phone rang, and it was my friend! She lives in Scotland, and I only hear from her once or twice a year. She's in Leeds for a couple of days, tying up her latest book. I'm a bit pushed for time this week, but hoping to meet up with her, and her partner, at some point tomorrow :)
