Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Still looking for that first turtle. 😊View attachment 1786395
The image of your knife is a fine as your Lambfoot.👍🏻
Here we go with Jack's Jack Black Jack Black okay given earlier today. GEC's Bayou Trapper.

With just the Lambsfoot blade deployed.

With the second blade deployed but not as the prominent blade as per Jack's wishes.

A very nice knife from GEC. The pattern and Lambsfoot blade flow together nicely.
Great looking knife, Ed.

And the Flippers roared their terrible roars and gnashed their terrible teeth and rolled their terrible eyes and showed their terrible claws. 🤣

Another fine image of your Charlie Lamb, John. Yum.

I love me a good liverwurst! With some mustard and on a cracker. Sometimes I will make a sandwich with some sliced white onions And yellow mustard. YUM!

PB&J for lunch today. I didn’t use my Lambsfoot to spread the PB (on both sides of the bread of course), with the copious amount of PB I use on my sandwich I’d still be at it if I did. 😊 It did however do a great job of cutting it in two right after I took the picture. 🤣
Jelly or Jam? 🤔

If memory serves, there was a thread prior to this one that was supposed to be Lambsfoot focused but it went off the rails considerably. I think that, at least in part, is the reasoning behind Jack's diligent approach to keeping this thread on the straight and narrow. It serves us all well, I think.
Thank you Dylan, that first thread was quickly overrun with Sheepsfoot pics unfortunately, in large part because not many posters here knew what a Lambsfoot was, or the difference between that, and it's older relative. Even in the early days of this thread, there were folks who thought the two patterns were essentially the same thing. Thanks to everyone who has helped keep this thread focussed on the Lambsfoot :)
Love these pictures Jack! Is that a big brown?
It is Todd, that section of the River Wye, (the smaller of the two English rivers with the same name), is teaming with them. Unfortunately, fishing along most of the Wye is private, like a lot of rivers here :(

Good luck Todd! :D Great pic :)
Both well said and expressed, i was fortunate to discover the Lambsfoot and the other one that shan't be named here as a kid. I wanted one straight away, mainly because i just wanted to be like the grown ups and men. This thread has been a great learning curve about the actual history and intricacies and nuances of the design. A huge bonus also of this thread is that it is frequented by good people.🥰🥰🥰
I remember thinking the Lambsfoot looked somewhat odd, when my grandfather first gave me one as a kid! :D
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Did it it end up with a broken nose ????;)
It ended up with me losing my house, and a lot of my savings! o_O 🤨 😃
No I do not.
Most of those flies were tied and given to me by Todd, bigfish64 bigfish64
I used to get almost as much pleasure from tying flies as from fishing I think :)

Congratulations Ed, I'm glad you're pleased with it :) I like the shield! :D It seems strange to see a Lambsfoot on that frame, be interested to hear how you find it in use

It's always nice to see Old Toffee Wings Jer :)
Good Morning Guardians
Semper Fi ;)
Good morning Guardians. Lousy start of the day today. Rained out of golf so now I must tackle so "honey-do" projects. It's a good thing that I have my most versatile tool to help me; my HHB.

Sorry to hear about the rough deal Bill :( Hope your Hartshead Barlow is coming in handy

Of course! :D Cool pic  I find a Lambsfoot OK is a spreader, but it sounds like you might need a trowel Todd :D ;)

Hope everyone is having a good day :) It's been cold, wet, and windy here today, which made standing in the market pretty chilly. Glad I wrapped up :) Enjoyed carrying my Rosewood Big 'Un

“Wrapped up” properly, makes it all tolerable. That and carrying the Big ‘Un.😉

Good Morning Guardians

It's not something I ever got into. Perhaps I'm missing out on a pleasurable past time.
I was young when I did John, I had nimbler fingers, better eyesight, and probably more patience! :D ;)
Nice to see the weekly Big 'Un. 🤠
Glad you were able to get to the Market... There's better weather ahead I'm sure. :)
Thanks a lot pal :)
