Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I've seen that one! 😁👍
I love the realistic special effects. Don't care for "CGI".

Got tricked into seing "The Pirate" by my daughter. Thought it might be an Errol Flynn-type swashbuckler, but it was just a romantic comedy full of singing and dancing. But Gene Kelly did something amazing with no CGI: he took a lit cigarette from a woman's mouth, put it in his, seemingly swallowed it, kissed the girl, brought the cigarette back out of his mouth (no hands!), and blew some smoke in the girl's face!

No CGI here, just the magic of Ray Harryhausen

I've seen that too Vince! Yeah, Buster Keaton didn't need no CGI

Beauties! Also, a wonderful assortment of images. You’re on a roll!
Good Morning Guardians
Re-sorting my fly box made for a good photo opportunity.
A fine tribute to your recent outing, John.
Thank you buddy, I have the bread baked specially to match my Hartshead Barlow ;) 😁👍
Lol😂
Storms rolled thru last night with tornados on the menu. We escaped unscathed but I keep my HHB close for good luck. Today is starting off sunny but more rain in the forecast.

Jack Black Jack Black - Are the new GEC Bayou Trapper knives going to be allowed in this "Guardians of the Lambsfoot" thread? They do have a Lambsfoot blade but have a second Muskrat blade. Country of origin should not be a factor as GEC has already manufactured a knife with a Lambsfoot blade and it has been enthusiastically received here. One reason I ask is that I have a knife with a Lambsfoot blade and a Pen blade that I post here regularly. This is a friendly question as I thought I'd ask it before posting my new Bayou Trapper and maybe causing a ruckus.:)

Hi Ed,

Thanks for the question. Jon0385 Jon0385 raised the question of the Bayou Trapper on February 18th. I'm surprised the knife hadn't been mentioned here before that, but apparently not. There was some discussion about it, and what I posted then was:

"As for the Bayou, it looks kind of an odd bird, and I've never seen a Lambsfoot on a Sowbelly frame before. Maybe it'll show a few more folks what a great blade the Lambsfoot is, but it might not work on that frame. The Lambsfoot has been paired, in the past, with other blades, including a Clip, and we've discussed those knives, at length, in the past, concentrating on the Lambsfoot blade, of course

The Bayou isn't a traditional Lambsfoot pattern, and so perhaps is better discussed, at length elsewhere, but if anyone picks one up, I personally, wouldn't have any objection to the knife being shown here, with the Clip blade closed, as per this TEW Barlow model

It's worth going back to look at the discussion Ed, and I'm happy to continue that discussion. I don't mind the knife being shown here, and discussed, but if posters want to discuss the knife in total, rather than just the Lambsfoot blade, it might be better to do that in the dedicated thread which already exists for the Bayou Trapper. Glad you were able to snag one Ed. Whether here, or in the other thread, I'm very much looking forward to hearing what folks think of it, particularly those who haven't used a Lambsfoot blade before

Hope everyone is having a good day :) Here in Yorkshire, it's early evening, and I'm heading out for a couple of pints with a pal in a couple of hours - not that common an occurrence these days! :D So I'm going to go and get a shave, and get my slightly-more-glad rags on, and also get my stuff together for the market tomorrow. Being a young 40-something, my pal likes to stay out until the early hours, so I'm probably going to be late to bed, as well as early to rise. I'll no doubt be rushing round in the morning, but if I remember to put it in my pocket, I'll be carrying my Rosewood Big 'Un tomorrow, and I'll catch up with y'all later in the day :)

Thanks for the reply Jack. I guess I missed the discussion on 18 February or have just plain forgotten I'd seen it. I'll look it up. In any case, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't raising a ruckus should I want to post it here. Although not on a usual Lambsfoot frame, I think the Lambsfoot blade fits into the Sowbelly frame gracefully and looks really nice. We'll see when I get it this afternoon.

Thanks Ed  Just to clarify, if you folks who are shelling out for these knives want to post a pic with both blades open, that's OK by me, I just don't want it to be a regular thing, or we'll end up discussing that blade, rather than the Lambsfoot. I hope that's OK with everyone. I'll be interested to hear how the frame/blade combo works in use Ed
Here ya go Jack! glennbad glennbad Glenn dressed this one with some spalted white oak I sent him. Glenn really knows how to bring out the best in it.View attachment 1786165

Wow, that certainly looks very 'Wow!' Dwight! Glenn is a great artist, and has worked on quite a few Lambsfoot knives now :) It's great to see you here buddy :)

You had me going with the Flitz there the other day Jack, I thought, nooooo the beautiful patina he wouldn't...or would he?
I definitely wouldn't want to lose the bolster stamp :)

Very handsome :) Hope that bad weather misses you buddy

Sun is out shining today! Beautiful spring weather here!

Sunshine makes a lot of difference doesn't it? It's been ok here today, but I think it's due to rain here soon, and through tomorrow. Nice to see your Lambsfoot soaking up the sun Ken 👍
