Btb those sliders look amazing , is that sauce on the tangy side or sweet side of bbq, I love a tangy hot bbq sauce! That HHB is a looker sir !Hey Guardians, hope you’re all having a nice Thursday. It’s sunny here, and warm enough. I had a couple pulled pork sliders for lunch, got to get some stuff done around the house while my youngest naps, then we’ll pick her sister up from school and head to a park.

In Guardians of the Condiments news, it seems I’ve used up the last of my favorite BBQ sauce. I thought I had another bottle stashed away, but I guess that was this one. Can’t get it locally, and the shipping makes it pretty pricey to order, but it is good.![]()
John , we’ve had a few hens and I have raised some turkeys for butcher the past few years but I always housed them in a small coop I built closer to the house . That old chicken house from what I have heard was used for years for a pretty good egg business locally , it would probably house 100 hens comfortably. I doubt I would ever own so many! As for a flock of lambs…. I’m working on putting a couple new ones in the stable
Agree with
Yes, it's African Rosewood... They were a small SFO batch from our friendis that rosewood on your lambfoot and do those have half stops on the blades, or is it a cam system ?
Goats are definitely in the works... two of them anyway.Start with the goats
Thanks, Harvey.Your Lambfoot looks great next to that rusty thing.
Thank you, Todd.that’s a great looking photo.
Get some chicks. I’ve been raising birds for 10+ years and don’t regret it.Good evening Guardians! I hope all is well and everyone had a good day today! I was lucky enough to slip away for a half an hour walk around the property this evening, beautiful evening for it !
I have been carrying only my lambfoot knife for five days now and I have to say it has cut what ever I needed it to cut ! From leather to the armband bracelets after our couple days at the water park !! The more I carry her and use her the more I really enjoy this pattern !
I took this photo on my walk this evening , the lambfoot sits atop an old hinge from the old (pert near ancient) chicken house that is on the back of the property. I’m not sure the last time it housed any hens but it has been at least 15 years! I may buy some chicks this spring and put the old house back to work

I have a friend, who, about 18 months ago, had the misfortune to move to small-town Poland. He was over for a few days around Christmas, and we went for a few pints together. He slipped me this diminutive bottle of vodka, as if it was the Holy Grail. I don't often drink neat vodka these days, but thought I'd have a shot tonight! I won't be having another!

Nice photo Todd
I think that quote is actually from the 'Food' thread RachelThe only time I'd heard of it was in a Monty Python sketch. Something about a blancmange from outer space turning everyone into Scotsmen, so it can win Wimbledon.
It wasn't just cosmetic either, the knife had other faultsOhhh my...that's an ugly one for sure! Maybe i'll just put mine on sale and get an good old ebony or i'll try another buffalo horn. Yours is probably the worst i've seen so far!

Cool photo John, you really captured Old Faithful nicely
That looks like it's in a completely different class!Na Zdrowie! The polish vodka will grow on you. You should have your friend in poland find you a bottle of this stuff. It's impossible to find in the states now. One of my favorites, even good warm.

Thank you sir! I love raising poultry , I’ve always had some kind of poultry off and on since I was a kid, my grandfather was from the depression era and always thought you should be as self reliant as possible ! A lot of those from that generation did.Get some chicks. I’ve been raising birds for 10+ years and don’t regret it.just picked up 8 new chicks. They will be going in with the old ladies soon.

PT, this is horn isn’t it ? It looks pretty cool ! I’ve seen stag soak in chemicals over the years when used in brass liners and take on that teal coloring ! I always liked the looks of it , even though I know a lot of folks don’t
Hope you have a great weekend Jack. Your HHB is looking good as ever.Nice photo Todd![]()

It wasn't just cosmetic either, the knife had other faultsThe fact that it was supposed to be one of their 'Premier range', and a gift, made it worse
Still, I sent it back, and the old gaffer had something a lot better made up for me. It turned out to be the start of a fruitful relationship, but it demonstrates how buying these knives can be pot-luck

That looks like it's in a completely different class! Thanks for the tip
I was in Poland about a dozen years ago, and drank a wide range of vodka, but most had been distilled outside Poland, which I found a little strange. With respect to my friend, I suspect he just picked up whatever was cheapest in the supermarket, that stuff is the worst vodka I've ever tasted, I'd rather drink spiritus!

That's good news about the weather, and a great pic of your Waynorth LambsfootGood morning Guardians! The weather is shaping up to make for a fine weekend , the morning dew was sitting on the spider webs in the yard this morning , my grandmother always said that was a sure sign of a pretty day ahead!
After a quick stroll I took care of one of my other daily chores of feeding my little [wild] feathered friends! We feed year around and have seen some really cool species come through on the feeders! View attachment 1798804
