Good evening Guardians! The weather is looking good here in the foothills for the weekend , we have a big weekend coming up around these parts , it’s more or less a huge fleamarket ! Working every Saturday means I will only get to go walk around Sunday but that’s alright because that’s when everyone is willing to make a deal I hope every ones weekend is kicking off well!
Sticking with last nights theme of the old chicken house to show her age I took a photo of the inside of the main door , the two rings or “links” you see have both been made over an anvil and forge welded together , if you look closely below the lambfoot you can see the two kerfs that have been forge welded together to make it one piece of metal! It’s not much , but to me it’s interesting to see the workmanship of days gone by …

Good morning Guardians, big spanner thrown into my weekend by my girlfriend's employer She's a college teacher, and they were informed yesterday afternoon that there's an Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education) inspection on Monday, so everyone is expected to work all weekend Personally, we'd have been having a very short conversation about that The news arrived too late for me to make alternative plans, but I'll find something to do today. For the moment, I'm having an easy start to the day I hope everyone has a great weekend, and that you enjoy carrying your Lambsfoot knives

Thanks Pete, they're supposed to be ready for these short-notice inspections all the time, but of course they never are, so they make the staff work all weekend to get what is effectively a false test result. Kind of ironic considering it's a college Hope you're enjoying the football my friend

Thanks Harvey I walked into town, stopping for a coffee and a sandwich on the way, and another coffee with apple cake in town, went to the matinee, went shopping for some DVDs with my mate's lad, (who must be the last person under 30 who buys them! ), then went for chip butties. He asked if we could go in a guitar shop for 10 minutes while his bus came. He picked up the 'AC/DC songbook', and told me he could play every song in it. I told him, "Mate, don't ever tell that to a girl if you expect her to go out with you!"
