Great pic David  Hope you're keeping alright mate
Fascinating video Jack - I enjoyed it very much. And , as usual, you HHB is lookin' fine.

Good morning Guardians. Yet another fine morning and a start to the week. Temperatures climbing into the 80's (Deg F) all week. Since my wife will be out of town it looks like I will have the duty of watering all of our plants and shrubs, etc. Going to have my HHB in the pocket. Recycled photo.

Thanks a lot Bill, I thought it looked like a good event :) By the way, the guy commenting is definitely NOT from Yorkshire! :D  It sounds like a nice start to the week Bill :) Your Barlow is looking tip-top
That's some great-looking pile side stag Joshua
When you find the right knife, you just know it... Don't fight it. ;)
Yeah, what am I going to do with the other 1200?! :D
Good Morning Guardians
Hope your week is off to a good start
Looking good John :)
Nice pic of OTW Jer, and that looks like an interesting tome :)

Just back from town, and thought I'd have a couple of these fancy wafer biscuits with my afternoon cuppa ;)

Neither do I John, and I probably have more than that! I gave up counting at 1000, but that was 5-10 years ago 🤣
I couldn't handle it. I get antsy if my collection gets over 40 knives.
It's getting harder to cut down and I at least got it back under 50 knives.
I actually envy those guys that have very small but very special collections.
Every knife gets used and loved as often as possible.

That's nice to hear :) Those flat-bands have really made a huge difference, and I think you're going to be surprised and impressed, they're faster and more accurate. I was watching a catapult shoot from Yorkshire last night, some intimidating skill there! :D

Me too! :D I sometimes buy a knife just to get a look at a particular tang stamp, a method of construction, or an old jigging pattern. Those knives are interesting - to me - but aren't always in good condition

Thank you my friend :)
Another interesting-looking book

The video gave me a better understanding of this sport. I can imagine the archers (from the “good old days” engaging in the same manner. It also struck me as a form of zen meditation.
Starting my week off with my Hartshead Barlow, which much as I love my other Lambsfoot knives, I miss every time it's not in my pocket
“Good shot, Mate.” (From the video) Have fun on your venture.
Nice image, David. Like being in outdoor museum. I like those tall, narrow headstones.
Nice image of your beautiful, pile side, hafted Lambfoot.
Good Morning Guardians
Hope your week is off to a good start

I imagine so Harvey :) I think all shooting sports have an element of zen meditation to them, but perhaps more so with the quieter ones :D

Yes indeed :D I have made a little progress recently, I no longer buy every single knife I come across 🤣
