What is a "flight of three thirds"?
Hope a good time was had by all.

Nice to see "kids" doing something creative and succeeding!!I didn't have my camera with me, but it was a pretty good night over in Huddersfield (albeit I could have eaten an extra pie). Turns out the Head Brewer at Magic Rock is a Sheffield lad, who went to the same school as my kids

Belated thanks for the kind words about my rosewood, @lambertiana .Of all the rosewood Wrights that have been posted, yours is by far the best. It has good grain and reddish color, which I like. If I could find one with similar wood I would buy it. Since I have ebony and horn lambsfoot knives, I need to round it out with a rosewood version.
Thanks, Jack....
Great post GT, you've put a lot of thought into naming your knives![]()
...
Thanks, David....
That's a great collectionI don't habitually name my knives but in my mind I occasionally think of my Wrights large lambfoot, which has a 'trigger pull' of about 2 tons, as "Nailbreaker". Or if my fingers are cold something along the lines of "the @*$#?@!! thumb killer!"

-David.
Thanks, Ron.5K Qs That's a great lineup Gary!

Since we seem to be all about names this morningtoday I'm totin one of my Oakedge Rosewood Barlambs! I hope you all have a great day!

How big is a little Wright Lambfoot? Comparison shots; Li'l Staggy and Big'un.
3 3/8" and 4". More curve in the smaller pattern, makes it handle like a larger knife, for some reason!!

I didn't find any knives in the flea-market yesterday, but I did buy these three handmade hammers, which were made by an old chap I know. Les is going on for 90, and a former engineer and 'Tackler' in the mills. He's very knowledgeable about all things mechanical, and still rides his vintage motorcycles. Among other things, he collects vintage toy cars, and made these hammers to work on them with. He was selling them, and I thought they were interesting

It's a shame you didn't find any knives, but those hammers are nifty! In addition to old knives, I find myself admiring old and homemade hand tools.I didn't find any knives in the flea-market yesterday, but I did buy these three handmade hammers, which were made by an old chap I know. Thanks, David.I'm not sure those "heat of the moment" names for your knife should be considered "legal names"!
