Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

....But be warned, you have now entered extremely dangerous territory, a rabbit warren that once you place one foot in will have you trapped, only curable by death.
I fear you are correct! 😳

If indeed this rabbit warren presages my doom, I may have need to employ the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch!! 🤣

Some nice photos of the beautiful countryside and trails. Your HHB was captured by the photos in some nice settings as well. The fruit flapjack looks pretty interesting. Flapjacks over here in the U.S. usually refer to pancakes.

LOVE THIS KNIFE!!!!!

When doing such work i have a little tip that helps finish the job off really smoothing it out. Get a piece of old leather belt, on the rough side rub in some polishing compound, does not have to be anything specific, and finish by smoothing out any rough edges with the leather and compound.
Good tip Leon :)
I'm in California, but most of the pizza places (other than the generic chains) advertise as "Chicago style" or "New York style" or "Italian style". As long as it doesn't have pineapple on (which is called "Hawaiian pizza" here) I'm pretty good with it. My preference is some meat and lots of veggies, though.
Here's some lambware content:

They're a bit more vague about it here, you never quite know what you're going to get! 🤣 Here's one I got in a pub, a while back, for example. Great pic of your Lambsfoot Tyson :)

Mmmm :) I bet that was delicious Tyson :)

Good morning Guardians, and Happy May Day :) The weather has changed here today, and it's raining, which is unfortunate, as I'm going out for a few pints with some friends later. Got some stuff to do in the house first, including having another go at that stinky Barbour jacket. Despite numerous applications of various remedies, the thing still reeks, and if I don't manage to cure it soon, it'll be going back in a plastic bag! It's clearly a very common problem, and Barbour don't actually have a service that'll deal with it (I note there's a US company that do) :( I'll give it another try anyway  I still have my Hartshead Barlow in my pocket at the moment, but when I go out later, I'll be carrying my AC :) Have a lovely day Guardians, and enjoy carrying your 'lambware'! 🤣 :)

You may have tried this already, you can buy a spray that you spray into runners and sneakers and let it soak in and air for a few days, it works pretty well. Also you can get some foot odour powder that you are supposed to put on your feet, but if you sprinkle in sneakers a few days after the spray it works well too. Just some options you may thinks about.😂

Thanks Leon, I'll try anything at the moment! 🤣 A few folks recommended a deodorising spray online, though others said it masked the smell, rather than destroying it. I guess that spray is designed to kill bacteria, so I think it would definitely worth a shot. A few folks also recommended putting a smelly jacket in a bag with cat-litter for a few days, and I guess powder might work in the same way

Jack, happy May Day back at you my friend. Enjoy your day today. My son will be visiting us for a few days so we will be enjoying some of the local pizza.:D There are several spots that are owned and operated by folks who are originally New Yorkers, Philadelphians, and also those from Northern New Jersey. They make some very good pizza (in my estimation). I love to have veggies on my pizza but sometimes they put too much on the pie and it turns it "soupy" and then the crust becomes soggy. Not good.

Good morning Guardians, sunny start to another great day here in paradise. Had to put the irrigation on today as we haven't had enough rain to amount to much. I hate doing it but I had fertilized the grass and shrubs yesterday and wanted to get everything watered in. We were supposed to get a little rain but it just didn't happen. Going with my freshly sharpened HHB today. There have been times that I just couldn't get it as sharp as I would like.:( I must have hit the sweet spot on this knife because it is razor sharp now.

Thanks Bill, it sounds like you have a good day ahead, enjoy the time with your son :) When I first visited Rome, as a teenager in the 1970's, me and my buddy had lots of great food, but we liked to visit a small neighbourhood place that was run by a New York Italian, who had moved to Rome to raise his family in Italy. We had some great nights there :) I'm glad you got a good edge on your Barlow, great pic :)

Excellent lamb and nice photo as well ! That bourbon is distilled about 35 miles from my home.☺️
Ha! I was just wondering yesterday where you lived! :) Louisville is a wonderful place. I love the history. Thank you sir!

A thin based vegetarian pizza, with not too much on the pie, my favourite. Soggy pizza has one place, the bin.😂😂😂

Sometimes in the making of the knife they get the tempering not quite right. The blade won't take a keen edge nor keep it. But after a few sharpening's you remove enough metal to expose good metal, and all of a sudden will take and keep a really keen edge. That may have happened to you, and now you have found your sweet spot. Usually when it happens, the blade is just plain no good.

Or the cutler can soften it while putting on the final edge. I don't think that will have happened in this case though. Sometimes it can take a while just to get the angle right too, or get the angle more to your liking. I've had knives with edges that were all over the place, GECs used to be notorious, but they seem to be a lot better now 👍
