Many thanks.πŸ™πŸ»
After missing a parcel delivery this morning, I walked down to the post office, which is about a mile down the road, mid afternoon. The returned parcels hadn't been sorted out yet, so I was told to come back at 5.30pm. When I returned, they still hadn't been sorted out  On the way back home though, I walked down a small street round the corner from me, and there was a young guy working on a BMW. You don't often see that anymore, and I noticed he had a good set of Snap-On tools. We got chatting, and he was a French guy, who works in a garage specialising in high-end cars. He was telling me about how bad the welding is on Aston-Martins and Ferraris! :D Another neighbour of mine, who passed away 20 years ago, was a mechanic, and has a garage with a pit in it. I know his widow would be very glad to get some rent for the garage, which has been unused ever since my friend passed, so I've offered to introduce him. We were talking about tools, and I told him about my mate with the tool stall, as the young guy is after a large vice. Since the young guy works on Jaguars, and my mate has just bought them, I think they might be able to help each other out :)
Good Deeds=Good Karma. Good ventures and good times will commence shortly.πŸŽ‰

Tomorrow my wife and I will be "embarking" on a little weekend adventure aboard our small sailboat cruising the Rideau Waterway.

I had decided to bring along my very cherished and very photogenic :) ebony lambsfoot, faithful companion of countless walks, for this very special first adventure of the year.

It was this knife, back on our vacation in Prince Edward Island 3 years ago and this thread that helped motivate me to get more active and go out more to enjoy nature.

I am sad to report though that as I was opening it just a little while ago the back spring snapped :(
I am a bit upset actually as even if I get it fixed it won't be the same knife anymore. I had grown quite attached to this knife.

I'll be keeping it close by, sitting on the little glass shelf right above my work desk.
I'll also bring it along on our upcoming return trip to Prince Edward Island, and take a few more pics together.

That's great Dan! May you have fair winds and following seas my friend. Glad to hear you two are doing well.

Thank you Dwight :)
Diana has been able to recover quite well after each chemo round. Side effects, while not pleasant, last for about a week after treatment and they are relatively mild when compared to what others go trough.
We saw the oncologist today face to face and she is very pleased about how the treatments are proceeding and are being tolerated.
Third round is next Tuesday, a day after we come back from the Rideau.

Looks like we may have some rain on and off along the way ... but we are feeling very excited about this trip anyways ... worse case will just have to snuggle some more in the little sailboat cabin :)β›΅

Sorry to hear about the knife, Dan. But good to hear about your excursion and your wife's progress.

Swings and roundabouts mate. Your wife's progress far outweighs a busted knife. It is only an object. Glad she is handling the treatment well. 🀝.

Nice pic Greg πŸ‘

Oh no! What bad luck Dan! 😳 I know that knife meant a lot to you, but I'm sure one of our expert modders could sort that out for you. An inexpensive knife could be harvested for a replacement spring, and with a little use, the resultant patina would soon make it look like your original. Don't give up on it yet my friend πŸ‘

That is great news about Diana, Dan, I hope you have the best of times aboard your little sailboat πŸ™‚πŸ‘
Happy Friday Eve! My chickens are doing their jobs. I’m going to be getting even more eggs once the 8 new hens start laying.

Nice clutch of eggs Taylor, and it made for an excellent photo πŸ™‚πŸ‘

Good morning Guardians, I am just waiting for a taxi to take me to the train station, so thought I'd call in. Have a nice Friday everyone πŸ™‚πŸ‘
