Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a great weekend, and that you're ready to start another week, working or otherwise. Kicking mine off with a return to my Hartshead Barlow, which has been neglected these past few days. Hope your week gets off to a good start Guardians

Thanks Harvey, that looks delicious, and it's a treat to see your Unity Lambsfoot 🙂👍
I'm sure we're due for some rain, but I don't mind not mowing on a holiday weekend.

Is it a holiday there Jer? Sorry for missing that folks ☹️ Your '18 looks happy on the lawn 👍

Next weekend is the "Glorious Fourth", as my Dad would say. He would also say, "We need the rain". He had me to mow the lawn.

Out of my league, but the Lambfoot, Barlow, Mammoth Ivory, and yes, that saw, pushed me over the cliff
Harvey I couldn't have resisted that one either. It would have been purchased before I even knew I had done it! Like Jack said, such a bizarre combination. That rig has a blackbelt in eccentricity. The cool factor is off the charts. I've always loved the saw in a knife. Don't have one though.
Out of interest, is everyone here familiar with Fred Burnham, I hadn't heard of him until I was researching some Boy Scout history, a month or so ago?
I hadn't heard of him Jack. Be sure and give us a report on the book.
Thank you Gentlemen. The wife and I have been out and about all week enjoying the mountain air. View attachment 1854468
Paradise.

Same down here in Dixie. What sweet relief!

Cherri had just ask me if I was ready for breakfast. I said "no thank you I'm doing good". Five seconds later I clicked on this. Alas..... Diabolically subliminal.... I fold....

Good Morning Guardians.
I'm kinda late posting pictures today.
That's a cool pic John 😎👍

LOL! 😁 That saying about the rain makes a lot more sense there, than it does here Jer. It only has to stay dry for 2 days, and there are folks saying it! 🤔😁👍

We'll put my friend 🙂👍

I wondered how well he was known Dwight 👍 The book is a great read, Burnham had an incredible life, absolutely packed with heroism and adventure, and while he was certainly a contradictory character, it is strange that he does not seem to be better known today 👍

You too Dwight, that's a fabulous photo of your '19 🙂👍

A quite handsome view of your SFO, Dwight.

Many thanks Dwight. I queried the sole AD who came up with the pattern. He simply liked the name(North American Game Warden) and he thought that the Lambfoot would be an interesting twist to the spear, which is on the others. The saw was used to cut off the spurs of roosters for cockfighting, which is no longer legal, but has historical significance. I certainly didn’t think (or know) that when I first laid eyes on it. I only thought that here is a Lambfoot, with a cool mini saw, a Barlow hafted in mammoth ivory, and only 15 pieces. An unusual combo. Weird, even. I like quirky.

I found a podcast, with an interview with the author of the Burnham book

Great photo Jean-Marc, that patina is coming along nicely :)
Thank you, Jack. :)
