Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

That’s “a low-down dirty rotten shame.“ I would love a lignum vitae. Lambfoot.
Me too 😢
Things to do on on a sunny Summer’s day, plus good things to eat with a friend. Doesn’t get much better my friend.
Thanks Harvey :)
Can’t wait to see that when it’s finished, Jack.
Thanks again my friend, I'd kind of forgotten about it. I prefer to do that kind of work out in the garden, but until this week, the weather has been such that I've not sat out much
Good Morning Guardians
I absolutely love that photo  :)

Thanks for your vote of confidence regarding the quality of my edge, John. :)
On your recommendation, I took a shower after a workout Tuesday and then tried to oil my joints with mineral oil. Didn't rejuvenate me the way I'd hoped; my wife now says I'm slimy. o_O

🤣🤣

Good morning Guardians, 6.30am here in Yorkshire, and it's been bright and sunny since I got up an hour ago, supposed to be in the mid 70's again. I usually meet up with my best pal on Fridays, but he has a works meeting today. I have plenty to do myself though :) Have a good Friday Guardians, it's nearly the weekend

Enjoy it JohnDF JohnDF !! 🤣 🤣 🤣

Cool pic, Jack. 😎🏴‍☠️

Can you imagine being neighbors with someone who plays bagpipes? 😳🤣

A pal of mine has a day off today, so I met him for a coffee before I went into town to get some shopping, and he rode off for a cycle ride :) Supposed to be 32C here today - I might have to look up what that means! :D

I think it means shorts weather, but for some reason you don’t really strike me as a shorts kind of guy. 😉 Hope you have/had a nice day, Jack.

Great photo John. 😎👍

Good morning Guardians.

Nice pic, Todd.

A while back, I mentioned running out of my favorite BBQ sauce, Gates Extra Hot from Kansas City. I’d been meaning to stock up, but it’s not available locally, and the only way I found to get it for a reasonable price (around $5 per bottle instead of $10+) was to order a case of 12 directly from Gates, which I was a bit hesitant to do because, well, that’s a lot of BBQ sauce! 😁

I finally placed the order last week, and it showed up today. I’m the only one in the family who really likes the spicy Extra Hot, so I got six of those (that should last me a while), and two each of their other offerings. I’ve never tried the Mild or Sweet & Mild before, so we’ll see how those are. I’m hoping at least the kids will like them.

My stag HHB helped open the packaging.

I had a stretch over a decade ago where I needed a cane to walk for three or four months. When this first happened, I tried out my Purpleheart Armoury bamboo cane, but it's a bit too long and a bit too wobbly. (I use it in my singlestick basket - it's great for hitting your friends, not so great as an actual cane.) So I ordered up a Cold Steel African Walking Stick. That worked surprisingly well (after putting a rubber cap on the toe).

Cold Steel likes to market everything they make as some kind of amazing last ditch self-defense tool, and if you managed to hit somebody with this thing, the results would be impressive. Literally - you would leave a deep impression in their surface. But it is so heavy and slow that you could probably only hit them with it if they were already unconscious. Not much of a weapon, but a great cane for actually supporting you as you walk around.

Nice selection of sauces, you’re set for awhile. 😎👍

That will be cool!
Hoping so :)
I've ordered one of yours.
MIne isn't entirely traditional, somewhere in there they strengthen something with a formica insert. It has some good ideas though.
Cool  I have another one too. They're both full of useful information :)
Cool pic, Jack. 😎🏴‍☠️

That would be the absolute WORST! 🤣 I know a woman who plays the cello, and she makes a nice sound, but 20 years ago, I put her up for a month, when she was just learning to play...!:eek:😁 Probably still nowhere near as bad as the pipes though! 😁

Definitely not, I'm Scottish from the knees down! 🤣 You may have heard of Vantablack, but you've probably never heard of VantaWHITE! 🤣 I was forever put off shorts by reading Orwell's 1984 as a youngster! ;)

That is quite a package Barrett! :D  I have heard of Gates - though it may be from YOU! 🤣 I do like to make up my own barbecue sauce, but it's been a while since I actually did so. Picked this one up today

I know what you mean Tyson, someone gave me a CS Sjambok, which seems to have a fearsome reputation. Probably a terrible thing to use on folks who can barely afford clothes, but it's really just a piece of plastic
I'm a bit smitten with my new LF, came in handy on a job today.

Steve, you will LOVE that blade :)
Afternoon Guardians! Got the Big Horn Lamb today.

Looking good there :)

Well, I managed to get the stick finished for my neighbour's kid :) It's not easy photographing long skinny things - which is why I had to put on weight for the camera! 😁;) Hopefully I can get an outdoor pic tomorrow

Toasting the stick! 😁;) Cheers Guardians

I just posted this pic in the "Modified Production Knives" thread but thought I'd share here too. J jsdistin did a blade delete on a GEC 88 for me, what do you think? It's not the traditional lambsfoot handle shape but I love everything about this!
