Thank you Todd. Thanks Harveycigarrodog . I used a Work Sharp with the grinder attachment and the coarse belt to remove the bulk of the material. Once I had the peaks and valleys sanded out I began sanding by hand with finer grits and changing direction to remove the scratches and do the final shaping. I then took it to the buffer and polished it.
Thanks Jack it was a lot of fun and a good learning experience.
Looks like great fun.The lamb was grazing out on the ball fields this evening. Great night in South Carolina for some 10 & under flag football. Nice that it was an 8pm game. Temp was 80 with a breeze. Sam’s team - Warriors - is undefeated and went up against the other undefeated team in the league - Chargers. View attachment 1876420
It was a tight game but Sam and the Chargers pulled out the W, 26-18. Sam caught one of the extra points and played lock down safety. Even got himself the “above and beyond” award!

I don’t remember that award being around after each game back in the 90’s when I was in little league

The lamb was a bit dim for the photo, but it was a good luck charm!
Good news Bill!Good morning Guardians. I'm finally emerging from this most recent Covid infection. Slowly getting better but still a little shaky. Going to venture out today and shake off the cobwebs. HHB by my side.

Wow, that looks like quite a display. I love to watch fireworks. Was this some type of celebration or occasion?
I might watch it (the original of course - possibly the worst re-make ever) laterLadykillers. You're right.

Very sorry to hear that your wife is still poorly BillGood morning Guardians. Sunny start to the morning here in Coastal NC. Finally got a good nights sleep last night and feeling better today...so far. I have to tell you that this Covid crap is no joke. My poor wife is still coughing up a lung and that's after a week of suffering with it. But she says she feels better so I'm thinking that she is over the worst of it. Hopefully I'll get enough ambition today to pull weeds and prune off some of the wild growth on some of our shrubs. My HHB will be ready and willing to help today.

Glad to hear you're doing well Todd, that sure is a fine-looking LambGood morning Guardians. Hope everyone is staying cool. 98 here today, but low humidity and this morning is gorgeous. I have my polished stag with me again today. The pile side had some ridges and valleys but weren’t too deep to sand out. View attachment 1876628

Great image, John.
Happy to hear that you’re getting some relief, Jack. And still doing fun stuff. How is everyone doing? I hope you're all having a good day GuardiansAfter another oppressively hot night, I've been enjoying the cooler temperatures here today. I don't think it's been over 72, but it still felt like walking into an oven, when I got back home from the market
Going out this morning, there was even some light rain, but I was glad of it
There's one of those free book libraries on my street, and there were a bunch of Doctor Who books in it today, so I took a few for my friend's youngest, along with this game, which doesn't look like it's even been played. I took a pic for

It was a good day at the market, with all the usual regulars turning up. some of whom are 20-odd years older than me!I bought coffee and jam doughnuts, and my mate scored a couple of lemon cakes later, so everyone was well fed!
