Another brilliant capture of your vacation.Today and yesterdays photo dump! We leave tomorrow at 1 am!!!
First up was our stop at Chena Hot Spring!! Saw a moose and drank some apple martinis in the ice museum.

The hot springs were a high light of the trip!

Even saw an old rusted out truck with California plates! LOL

Today we went to Dredge #8. An old dredge that was abandoned in the 50’s. In 30 years of operation it moved 4 miles! We did some more gold panning and got about $55 dollars worth.![]()
![]()
![]()
The inner workings of the dredge were amazing. I was especially excited to see the inside of one because one of my Great Great Grandfathers was a winchman (captain) in a dredge during the California gold rush.
We stopped by HooDoo brewing on the way to dinner.
Their IPA was pretty dang good!!!

And I got a Maibock!![]()
Very cool. Thanks HarveyThat's one of many successful designs by British slingshot legend John Webb, (AKA Gamekeeper John), called a 'Bloodstopper'. That polymer version is tough, and inexpensive, and allows a variety of holds

Thank you Jack. Glad to hear things are cooling back down tomorrow for you. That photo is a work of art Dwight
That is incredible. The dredge was amazing! The bucket-line or ladder dredge has 68 buckets, each with a capacity of 6 cubit feet. And a 150 horse power motor that ran the line. It recovered 7.5 million ounces of gold
I'm glad you are on the sunny side of it Bill. It is amazing how hard it hits some folks and then goes easy on others.Good morning Guardians. I'm finally emerging from this most recent Covid infection. Slowly getting better but still a little shaky. Going to venture out today and shake off the cobwebs. HHB by my side
What a beautiful hammered teapot!I decided to go out again, pick up a few things, and then go for lunch in a Middle Eastern restaurant, which should negate me having to cook later
Good to hear you’re feeling better Bill. Hope you’re well enough soon to hit the links again.Good morning Guardians. I'm finally emerging from this most recent Covid infection. Slowly getting better but still a little shaky. Going to venture out today and shake off the cobwebs. HHB by my side.

Wow that’s pretty Harvey.
Mrs. Bigfish says that sometimes I could be President of that club. It's still pretty warm here this evening, and it looks like being another warm night, (though a little cooler than the previous two). I was looking forward to a sunny Thursday in the market, but the forecast is for cloudy and overcast, with a good chance of rain. Temperatures mid 60's to 70. Despite the cloudy weather, I'm looking forward to my Thursday market trip, and to the cooler temperatures. Thought I'd carry my Rosewood Big 'Un![]()
