My friend is usually pretty sensible, but the way he talks about the dog is like he's a mentally-ill adult,

Thanks for the answer, and thanks for the comment on my post.
Afternoon Guardians !
My new Rosewood large LF arrived yesterday. Pretty pleased with it overall. Small gap in the liner and the blade wasn't polished like my Ebony one. It does have a nice pinchable pull and great snap. The blade is centered although they had to krink it to get it there.
I polished and sharpened the blade and added a swedge to it.

I wasn’t thinking or trying to solicit a “sorry.” I was simply curious. I loved your response.Sorry for that rather ambiguous sentence, I meant that my friend talks about the dog like the dog is a mentally-ill adult, but either way applies really!![]()

It was when I re-read it, that I realised how ambiguous that part of my reply had been Harvey!I wasn’t thinking or trying to solicit a “sorry.” I was simply curious. I loved your response.![]()
but I suspect a lot of his weird behaviour is simply due to a lack of training
I see this on a regular basis now, and this is the problem. Dogs are pack animals and need a pecking order of who is the Leader of the pack and then in order, and they have to know their place in the pecking order. Most people don't have any idea about this, so they just get a dog and think they have the most beautiful smartest dog on the planet, and don't train them or correct them so the dog knows his/her place, then the poor dog get confused. I have a good mate who is a real bushy who has always had dogs. He will not let anyone feed his dog or dogs, he is the Leader of the pack and provides for them, no one else. Those dogs are so well behaved and would die for him. My dad was a big believer in all of this and said the dog has to know his place, when i once asked him why is Barney { our dog } was not allowed inside. Answer, if dogs were meant to be inside God would have taught them to build houses, when your a kid, that sounded like a very logical answer to me.My friend is usually pretty sensible, but the way he talks about the dog is like he's a mentally-ill adult, and I can't understand why he doesn't do something to address the clearly abnormal behaviourIt's a shame because, with some training, he could be a lovely dog.
Thanks for thinking of us JohnThank you, my friends.
I've been busy having fun, but I make sure I'm at least keeping up with the Guardians when I have a break.

That's a cool Lambsfoot
I know what you mean Pete, hard to capture the true beauty of hornThis one is hard to photograph. The horn is so dark the detail is lost except in direct sunlight.

Good morning Guardians, it's fine here at the moment, with rain set to come in from mid afternoon, so I'm going to make a sandwich, grab my slingshot, and head out for a walk with my Hartshead Barlow. Hopefully get a few miles in before the rain, but I'm not too bothered about itHave a great day, and I'll see you all later Guardians
