Just having a cherry and coconut flapjack after my pepperoni and cheese sandwich :) ;)

My friend is usually pretty sensible, but the way he talks about the dog is like he's a mentally-ill adult

🤣 Thanks for the answer, and thanks for the comment on my post.

Sorry for that rather ambiguous sentence, I meant that my friend talks about the dog like the dog is a mentally-ill adult, but either way applies really! 😂

Afternoon Guardians !
My new Rosewood large LF arrived yesterday. Pretty pleased with it overall. Small gap in the liner and the blade wasn't polished like my Ebony one. It does have a nice pinchable pull and great snap. The blade is centered although they had to krink it to get it there.

I polished and sharpened the blade and added a swedge to it.

Nice work Steve :) Yeah, they don't polish the blades on the Rosewood knives (they didn't used to do ebony except as an SFO)

I wasn’t thinking or trying to solicit a “sorry.” I was simply curious. I loved your response.👍🏻

It was when I re-read it, that I realised how ambiguous that part of my reply had been Harvey! :D I thought I'd better clarify ;) :D Thank you my friend :)

but I suspect a lot of his weird behaviour is simply due to a lack of training

My friend is usually pretty sensible, but the way he talks about the dog is like he's a mentally-ill adult, and I can't understand why he doesn't do something to address the clearly abnormal behaviour  It's a shame because, with some training, he could be a lovely dog.
I see this on a regular basis now, and this is the problem. Dogs are pack animals and need a pecking order of who is the Leader of the pack and then in order, and they have to know their place in the pecking order. Most people don't have any idea about this, so they just get a dog and think they have the most beautiful smartest dog on the planet, and don't train them or correct them so the dog knows his/her place, then the poor dog get confused. I have a good mate who is a real bushy who has always had dogs. He will not let anyone feed his dog or dogs, he is the Leader of the pack and provides for them, no one else. Those dogs are so well behaved and would die for him. My dad was a big believer in all of this and said the dog has to know his place, when i once asked him why is Barney { our dog } was not allowed inside. Answer, if dogs were meant to be inside God would have taught them to build houses, when your a kid, that sounded like a very logical answer to me.

Thank you, my friends. :)
I've been busy having fun, but I make sure I'm at least keeping up with the Guardians when I have a break.

Thanks for thinking of us John :) Have a great time buddy :)
Evening Guardians! Looks like everyone is doing well.

That's a cool Lambsfoot  :)
This one is hard to photograph. The horn is so dark the detail is lost except in direct sunlight.

I know what you mean Pete, hard to capture the true beauty of horn :) I keep mistaking that one for ebony (sorry)

Your dad was a mine of knowledge my friend, just like his son :)

Good morning Guardians, it's fine here at the moment, with rain set to come in from mid afternoon, so I'm going to make a sandwich, grab my slingshot, and head out for a walk with my Hartshead Barlow. Hopefully get a few miles in before the rain, but I'm not too bothered about it ;) Have a great day, and I'll see you all later Guardians :)

Not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow, I've got a few ideas, but I've not really decided yet. However, I will be carrying my Hartshead Barlow ;) Have a great weekend Guardians

I had to rush to get out of the house this morning, and forget to change my knife over! 🙄

Some great photos of your HHB. The last one...is that your big'un? Wasn't sure. Hope you had an enjoyable outing with your slingshot.

Good morning Guardians. I'm a little slow moving this morning but I'm building up slowly for getting some yard work done. Been having back spasms and was wondering if this was a side effect of the Covid or the medication I took. I'll have my HHB in my pocket again.
