It's beautiful weather here again today, and set to stay like this for the rest of the week, before the temperatures increase further at the weekend, taking us from the 80's into the high 90's. Unfortunately, I'm stuck in the house again I'm hoping I'll still have some blackberries left by the time my sciatica is over New day, new book! Have a good day everyone

Sorry to hear your back is still acting up, Jack, and that you can get out and enjoy the nice weather. As for the blackberries, maybe you could enlist your mate’s kids to help pick ‘em while they’re still good?

They had been given to the school's first headmaster, by the police, so that he could defend himself against the pupils!

Thankfully I've never felt the need to arm myself against my students.

When my friend was headmaster, the oldest children would have been 11 or 12, but historically, I think, it would have been 7!

Jack Black Sorry to hear about your continuing back woes, hope you can get some improvement shortly. Have to be careful, but good to see our esteemed member and friend Eric have another raging success today. I cannot for the life of me find my cable to connect my phone to my computer, will just have to keep looking, will no doubt turn up where i least expect it and the last place i look. Good to see John back in class, you have more patience than me my friend. Have a good one.
