Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone has made it through the week ok, and that you're looking forward to the weekend. My pal, Tool Man, rang me last night, and he's going to bring me a bit of shopping over this morning, and stay for a cup of tea and a chat. It's another lovely, sunny day outside, and set to get as hot as the late 90's later, which is unusual here. It's pretty warm sat on my hot-water bottle too! 🙄 Have a good day Guardians 👍

Sorry to hear the sauce was a disappointment, Jack.

The drive from Minnesota to Arkansas and back takes us through (or rather, around) Kansas City. While I’m still well-stocked on Gate’s Extra Hot BBQ sauce, the rest of the family has become a big fan of Gate’s Sweet and Mild sauce, which I had added onto my big BBQ sauce order just to try out. So we stopped at a grocery store near KC on our way down and picked up a couple more bottles. 😁

I also grabbed a bottle of Arthur Bryant’s barbecue sauce, as recommended by someone here when the topic of Kansas City BBQ came up before. (I tried to use the search function to remember who, but I couldn’t find it.)

A package from Jack from his fun Yorkshire Day GAW! Now I'm craving another Chip Butty!!!

A veritable treasure of Yorkshire-ness and other goodies. I feel pretty spoiled. Jack has a generous streak a mile wide!

I know tea is ubiquitous there and probably more likely to be enjoyed from a sturdy mug than a fancy tea cup, but I still couldn’t help but laugh to myself reading that and imagining your friend the Tool Man holding a dainty little cup and saucer, pinky out, sipping some tea. 🧐😁
 
Happy Friday Guardians. I haven’t been around because I tested positive for covid on Sunday. But I’m much better now luckily and getting back to my happy place. I’m grateful to have been fully boosted. And I started Paxlovid on Monday to help. I lost 10 pounds which I needed. Here’s a garden pic. Good to be back.

I was a bit surprised, bearing in mind its popularity (I should go back to making my own really). Nice haul there my friend, and a cool pic 😎 I don't recall seeing Gate's here, but I'll see if I can get hold of some 👍

LOL! 🤣 That's a hilarious image! 😂 You only see cups and saucers like that in tourist tea rooms, but I wish I had had some just to see his face! 😁 He turned up in his Jag, wearing a vest and braces, (translation may be needed). He rang me up last night to offer to bring me some shopping round, but he's a terrible shopper! I rang him this morning, with a list of 6 basic supermarket items, and he made a real drama about it, and managed to get 2 of them! 🙄🤣👍

Hope the hot water bottle brings some relief, Jack. Sorry for laughing over your friend’s shopping difficulties. The dainty teacup would have been the perfect touch. Have the best weekend you possible can.

I always love that UK braces = US suspenders, and UK suspenders = US garter belt. The first time I heard the Monty Python Lumberjack Song, I didn't realize that the idea of a lumberjack in supenders was part of the joke, because of course lumberjacks wear suspenders...

Right up there with rubber/eraser for making me giggle.
