Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians, what a pleasure to be in this oasis of tranquility πŸ™‚ The weather has changed here, rain, and in the 60's. Looks like I missed the summer! πŸ™„ It has been very humid the past couple of days, so I'm glad of the cooler temperatures, and looking forward to going out for lunch πŸ™‚ Have a good day Guardians πŸ‘πŸ‘

Thank you Bill, my back is definitely a lot better, but it's still difficult for me to walk, my left leg is kind of spongey, and not very reliable :(

Thanks a lot buddy, it was definitely good to get out of the house. I was only out 2 hours, and it felt like twice that (in a good way)! :D I don't think I'm going to be able to eat again today! We had Middle Eastern lentil soup for starters, and then a bunch of other tasty dishes, with mint and cardamom tea :)

Thank you, Jack. :)

What a great picture. Glad you had fun, my friend. 🀠
Thank you very much my friend :) I've added a photo of the food, but it took ages to upload, I don't know what's been up with my internet access lately. Mind you, one of my pals suffered an 8 hour power cut yesterday, so perhaps it's just a sign of the times

Thanks Harvey, yes it was :) I notice my back has tightened up again a bit though. I think I might have to give the market a miss again tomorrow, as it involves too much walking, and standing :(

Sorry to get off topic, but that's what us Guardians do, right? I just wanted to share my excitement with you all...
I was busy watching the Drum Corps International finals the last three days. They start early in the morning and run late into the evening, with over 42 corps competing from across the nation, and members from around the world. I'm happy to report that the Sacramento Mandarins finished in 10th place with a score of 90 points, their highest ever. Plus, they were only a half point away from 8th. The three corps in 8th, 9th, and 10th battled it out all Summer. I'm super proud of my son and the whole corps achievements, it was the most competitive year ever. He even got a couple of job offers, one to teach marching at one of our biggest high schools in the area, and one to be a brass instructor for one of the DCI Open Class corps next Summer.

Pardon my ignorance, John, but I saw them practicing at the University of Wyoming football stadium last month when we stopped on our way through town heading to my folks house, though at the time I had no idea who or what they were. Very impressive, congrats to them (and to your son)!!!!

Nice. Hope school is going well.
Thank you, Harvey... So far so good. :)
Very cool, Harvey. 🀠
I used to fix peanut butter on toast for my son before football practices. Found out years later that he hated them. 🀣

Welcome to the club, my friend. :)
And might I say, I love that mug! 🀠

That's so cool. They were definitely there practicing and competing. 🀠
He is just too cute to eat. :D

Oh no! πŸ˜πŸ‘

When my 2 eldest girls were little, the eldest was about 7 I think, they decided to make me breakfast in bed. It was a lovely thought, but I woke up to see a mug of tea being held, precariously, a few inches above my face. Fortunately, perhaps, it was only lukewarm, and the accompanying peanut butter on toast was stone-cold! πŸ™„ Obviously I had to eat it anyway, and tell them how delicious it was! πŸ˜πŸ‘

Sadly, not! πŸ€£πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

Thank you Todd. Nice Zen moment evoked from your image

Thank you John. There’s a world of distance between fresh ground peanuts and store bought PB. Your son and his unbeknown(to you) hatred of PB, must have been a mild moment of chagrin for you.

After that lunch, I couldn't eat another meal, but I did make room for a complimentary gingerbread man that came with my grocery delivery πŸ˜‰ He went well with a cup of tea πŸ‘
Happy to hear your having a good day. Please go gently, tomorrow.
