I don't know the stats on how many of the 1 million lost to covid were already retired, but maybe that has an impact on the size of the workforce in the US.

Thanks Jack! Doing fine here, just had to take a big step back for a while after last years BF knife cluster#*&$ to remember why I enjoyed this hobby. I’m still enjoying a bunch of great knives, like Jelly, and doing everything I can now to avoid this year’s BF knife extravaganza!

I seem to have missed the summer here, as while it's still warm and humid, it's also dull and overcast, with rain and thunderstorms forecast. Almost everybody has (prime minister, parliament, and a large part of the civil service excepted), but we used to rely on a large pool of, mainly European, labour, to clean our hospitals, deliver babies, cure cancer, pick crops, drive buses and delivery vehicles, wait tables, serve drinks, issue prescriptions, care for our old folks, cook restaurant food, issue train tickets, etc, etc, etc. But most of those people aren't here anymore, particularly the ones who performed the lower paid of those jobs...Hard to say more without being explicitly political

That's a kind thought Harvey - me too! Thank you my friend Not really, I'm afraid I don't really have time, but I sometimes have in the past, and there are certainly times in my life that I regret not doing so. Particularly the way my memory has gone!
