Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Maybe the scraped epoxy will polish with enough pocket wear.
Have you thought about trying to polish it with something mildly abrasive, such as Flitz, or even using very fine sandpaper, and then repolishing?

Fine steel wool didn't make much impression. But if I took off too much, I'd want to re-epoxy and start all over again.

That's good to hear Sceva :) I think it's the most useful and versatile blade there is :) I think that IS a quite blocky pocket carry, I prefer my AC, which has the same blade. I'm glad you got a good one though, my first, of that pattern, was absolutely terrible, so bad I returned it. Thankfully, John Maleham, the old gaffer there, had me a nice replacement made. Here it is, with my AC

Jack; Thank You

Those are really nice. I do line good stag; it's getting harder to find though. Most is too thick, plain, pithy or non-descript.

The Senator is coming along nice. It is starting to look like a using knife which it is. I carry it is a watch pocket and it will go into my regular rotation with my Pen knives and Bladeforum Jack from 2014.

Starting to take on character.

you're looking forward to the weekend (I dare say, JohnDF JohnDF and bigfish64 are!)
You have no idea... it's only the first full week of school and I already need a break. 🤣
Lovely picture, Jack. 🤠
I always look at people's breakfast pictures and think how nice it must be to have a croissant or bagel for breakfast, super easy. I wish I liked bred more.

Thank you :) Yes, the Sheffield cutlers were very badly affected by the Indian Government's ban on Sambar exports, as well as a certain laziness, and lack of imagination, in terms of sourcing alternatives, and their general apathy in terms of QC. They also generally cut it far too thick, grinding off the bark, which is down to a lack of skill, and a 'couldn't care less' attitude. This is the example I originally received (it had all sorts of other defects in addition to the 'stag' I can put up with some minor flaws on a working knife, but this was supposed to be their most prestigious knife

There was a silver-lining, my complaint was the start of a good working relationship with John Maleham, which eventually led to a number of Lambsfoot SFOs, before he sold the company

That's looking better :) I hope you enjoy using the Lambsfoot blade

I can imagine John! When I was 21 and 22, I was a youth-worker in a tough inner-city neighbourhood, (had a knife pulled on me the very first day). During the school holidays, I was usually looking after 70 kids on my own, aged from being toddlers to 15 or 16, with most somewhere in the middle. Despite only getting paid for 35 hours, I worked between 70 and 80 a week, during the holidays. Now, I spend a couple of hours looking after young kids, and I'm absolutely exhausted! Hope you have something nice planned for the weekend buddy

Great picture :)

Thank you, Jack. :)

That's funny. 🤣
Unfortunately, it's not the students that are making it hard... at least that I have some control over.
Oh no! I loved the job, and would have stayed with it, but I couldn't stand some of the people I worked with, and the corruption I saw. I shouldn't have been having to deal with that many kids on my own, but my supervisor had been given her job by the Head of Youth Services - her husband! He wanted her at home ironing his shirts, rather than working, so she was never there, and during the school holidays, she'd go absent, after first stealing all the play-scheme money! There was funding for another worker, but my supervisor gave the job to her friend, "as a favour", and the only time she came in was to steal the kids VCR, which I'd managed to get a grant for

Cool looking image, John.
Nice “dad joke” Harvey! 🤣
No. Now it’s nice “grandpa joke.”🤣

The “good old days” Glad to hear of your improving heath. Have fun this weekend, but be kind to yourself.
