Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Fine steel wool didn't make much impression. But if I took off too much, I'd want to re-epoxy and start all over again.
Sand it all off then re-seal it with very thin CA. This is how custom knife makers seal porous handles - epoxy is too thick to really do the job, so it sits on top of the material. Thin CA (must be thin!) gets in the material, not on it, and seals it correctly.

Thanks. CA = cyanurate? Not California, I'm guessing.

Cyano acrylate! That wasn't the easiest google.

The “good old days” Glad to hear of your improving health. Have fun this weekend, but be kind to yourself.
Yeah! 🙄 Thank you very much Harvey, I won't be doing much 😊👍
Good Morning Guardians

daughter made zuccini blueberry cake/bread. Delicious!
What a fantastic photo! 😎 Great-looking cake my friend 🙂👍
That sounds like it was never going to work out well for you.
No! 😁 Obviously I didn't know until I took the job. It was a very deprived area, the kids had very little. I had lived there myself as a teenager, and gone to the same school as a lot of the kids' older siblings, and still drank with some of their dads, as I lived less than half a mile away. The parasites had all moved from the other end of the country, and lived in swanky houses on the edge of town, and they were stealing from those poor kids, and otherwise enriching themselves at their expense! 😡
Thank you for the kind words, Harvey. :)

Wonderful photo. 🤠
Zucchini and blue berries is not a combination I would have ever thought of, but I bet it was good.
Me neither, but I have had zucchini in cakes several times here, combined with blueberries, or lemon I think :) Zucchinis are called courgettes here 👍
All 1st Class knives there Jack Jack Black Jack Black .
Thanks a lot Ed 👍
👏

I didn't have any lunch, so I made up for it later 😉👍

Beautiful photo of a very nice LF knife my friend. Lunch looks tasty - wish I could eat it myself but I'm under a strict diet.

Good afternoon Guardians - or evening depending on where you are currently. Just pouring rain right now here in coast NC so I'm indoors. Cutting up some cardboard boxes with my trust HHB and now taking a break from the action.

Now you tell him! 😁😉👍
It was epoxy finish, not epoxy glue. That might be excuse enough for me to leave it alone for a while.

Did I tell you guys I met a health nutritionist who says she never met a healthy vegan and I should eat meat?

Thanks Bill, that'll be me done now until breakfast. Sorry to hear about the strict diet, I need to start losing the pounds again myself ☹️ Glad you're getting to use your Hartshead Barlow, it looks great there 🙂👍

Oh no! 😳 Mind you I doubt you could get any two nutritionists to agree on a single thing 🤔😁👍

Thank you :) Yes, the Sheffield cutlers were very badly affected by the Indian Government's ban on Sambar exports, as well as a certain laziness, and lack of imagination, in terms of sourcing alternatives, and their general apathy in terms of QC. They also generally cut it far too thick, grinding off the bark, which is down to a lack of skill, and a 'couldn't care less' attitude. This is the example I originally received (it had all sorts of other defects in addition to the 'stag' I can put up with some minor flaws on a working knife, but this was supposed to be their most prestigious knife

Wow Jack;

That stag is some of the worst I have seen. The next worst was a set of stag Revolver grips I bought ( poor photos) then returned as they were about 75% pith which was hidden in the photos.

Yeah, me too! 🤣 How on earth did it get out of the factory? 🤔 They sound rotten Sceva, I hate pithy stag 🤨 Here's a photo, taken at the factory, of the Pere David stag Wright's use now, compared to some Sambar 👍

Happy Friday afternoon, Guardians. Hope all have been well and have plans to slow it down for some relaxation and/or fun activities as we roll to the weekend. Hapoy to report a new lambsfoot in the stable. I don’t have with me now but I’ll try and post up an image later this eve. Best,
That sounds exciting Greg, looking forward to seeing your new Lamb :) Have a great weekend mate

Drizzled a bit this morning to start the day. My grass can definitely use some more 😅

Back to my latest favorite carry...two bladed mini lambsfoot.

It looks parched there Ken. I was looking at a satellite image of the UK today, most of the north of England, Scotland, Wales, (and also Ireland) are green, while the south is yellow. Nice photo
