Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

My new two blade has taken most of my pocket time lately...but the trusty single blade is still around!

Very good Ken, nice to see them both together 🙂👍

That looks better, I hope the point is ok 👍

The point is fine thank goodness, Just a minor touch up. Thank you for inquireing.

I have to say; The lambsfoot blade appears very useful, The Wright Senator is somewhat larger a knife than I usually carry but it's not bad. I wouldn't want one any larger though. These A. Wright knives are stout. Mine appears well made and fit and finish while not perfect is VERY good. Much better (Flush) where the backspring sits than many photos I looked at. I do not know what vintage my knife is but it appears to be one of the nicer ones quality wise. As for the steel; it seems nicely hardened but I was able to get the edge shaving sharp with a little effort on my part. The patina is developing nicely too; been slicing apples to eat.

To the top.

Still out of town. No lamb. Sad face.

How can you not have a Lambfoot even though you're out of town? Jack Black Jack Black gifted this Standard to me back in 2019 and when I went in the hospital for my jaw cancer surgery, I had it with me (actually in Cindy's purse) and after the surgery in my hospital gown pocket for the 15-days or so I was there.

The knife had a few minor issues as Jack pointed out to me and after I came home from the hospital, I had Jason Signalprick Signalprick rebuild it and he graciously fitted it with Snakewood covers.

The moral to all of this is there's no excuse (at least a good one) to not have a Lambfoot with you.

Ed, I had to carry-on my luggage on the airplane. It stinks!

Thanks for sharing that story. Respect!

Guardians thread is spending a lot of time on page 2 lately Guardians ☹️

Sorry, Jack. I’ve got some condiment updates, just have to get around to taking the pics. 😉😁

Next Day Air to your destination and Next Day Air home. Take a picture of it on the plane to keep you company. Ok, ok, I guess the picture is a little bit overboard.

Have a small plush replica of your Lambsfoot made that you can cuddle with when you’re feeling Lambsfoot withdrawals. A TSA-friendly emotional support Lambsfoot. 🤣

That's good to hear Sceva :) I think it's the most useful and versatile blade there is :) I think that IS a quite blocky pocket carry, I prefer my AC, which has the same blade. I'm glad you got a good one though, my first, of that pattern, was absolutely terrible, so bad I returned it. Thankfully, John Maleham, the old gaffer there, had me a nice replacement made. Here it is, with my AC

I glad you brought this up. Many times when I'm looking at a Lambsfoot blade I see shades and hints of a Seax influence.
While, I I don't think there's a DIRECT influence, I do think the Seax, which was carried in all sorts of sizes, over a very long period of time, in multiple countries, shows how useful a straight-edged blade can be. Seax were used for combat, for dressing game, and in the kitchen, and if they had been found wanting, folks would have adopted something different
Looks like this squirrel had a nice meal. 😊View attachment 1904046
Great pic Todd :) Those squirrels have been busy! :D

Nice work Pete :) Hope you're reunited with your Lambsfoot soon buddy :)

That's a great-looking re-build Ed :) They certainly often come from the factory with some some flaws and rough edges. I'm very pleased with the 3 re-builds that Reaper AL Reaper AL gifted me

Are they still serving wine in glass bottles Pete, they were the last time I flew in Europe? They were serving Champagne from them in First Class. Not that I was in first class! :D
Jason's good people. He also did the micarta on my L'il Lambsfoot :)
I was wondering about that, when you showed it last week Mike, though I'm sure you've said before :)

LOL! :D I have the leather Lambsfoot, Pàdruig Pàdruig made for me, close to hand :)

Great pic John :)
I will consider this.

In fact I’d love to see the look on my close quarters neighbors when I pull it out on the plane and use it for a neck pillow.
🤣

Good morning Guardians, nice to see so many of you here :) It's been raining here the past couple of days, but the sun is out again today. I'm still getting some pain in my legs, but it's only minor, so all being well, my sciatica attack is all but over, for now. Thanks for all your kind words and support while I've been suffering. I'm back at my desk now, but will be careful not to stay here too long, and will take it easy trying to catch up with the housework. I hope that you all have a good Friday, and that you're looking forward to the weekend (I dare say, JohnDF JohnDF and bigfish64 bigfish64 are!) :) I'm carrying my AC today, and I think I'm going to give it a bit of light maintenance with a drop of oil, and a tickle on the stones. Cinnamon and raisin bagels for breakfast, (which I noticed are smaller than the last time I bought this brand  )
