Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thanks Jack and sorry to hear about the inadequate health services. :(
Thanks mate, not a great time to be getting old
Thought I'd poke my head in here and post my one and only lambsfoot courtesy of the constantly cool @Crazy Canuck

What better album to post with a lambsfoot? Probably many but Joe Cocker came up in my subforum recently and it fit well.

I have a model called a Cowbell that some of you may be familiar with. I'm taking that frame and experimenting with what I call "Wild Cards". Basically an idea to randomly try out different blade styles on the Cowbell. The first Wild Cards were a couple of craft/bench knives.

The idea of a lambsfoot blade came up and a couple of Guardians were kind enough to post some great examples. Thought I'd stop in, say hello, and see if anyone had any suggestions or ways to embed lambsfoot lore into a fixed blade.

Great to see you here John, welcome to the Guardians :) Despite being a city of over over half a million people, everyone seems to know everyone else in Sheffield, and when I was a teenager, a lot of the guys I drank with, a decade older than myself, knew Cocker. Occasionally, he'd crop up in conversation, but it was always very matter of fact, like they were talking about anyone else - like "That was the night Cocker...." I'll not go any further, since all the examples I can remember aren't really family friendly! Just tales from down the pub really :D Really interesting to read about your thoughts of doing a Lambsfoot fixed blade :)

I'm off to hit the hay Guardians, and heading down to the market in the morning, so have a good Thursday, and I'll check in after a hard day's gossiping and cake-scoffing, and ducking hopefully! ;)

Some 'logic' huh?! It's terrible here right now Dwight, there are stroke-victims lying out on the pavement, overnight, waiting for an ambulance, people left in hospital corridors, and others having to pull out their own teeth because they can't get to see a dentist. I was talking to a neighbour whose husband had to go into hospital with dementia, and she told a terrible tale of neglect and incompetence. He has been waiting 9 months for a place in a care home :( Stan Shaw recovered from the relatively minor issue that put him in hospital, but he didn't recover from the hospital 😠
Sorry to read about all this.

May I ask where you are?

I hope you have a good market day Jack. Goodnight and remember tomorrow - bob and weave 😉
Many thanks Dwight, that's good advice my friend! 😁👍
Sorry to read about all this.

May I ask where you are?
Thanks Erik, I'm in England 👍
Sorry to hear the visit did not go as anticipated and you did not get the proper care you need, my friend. Hopefully you get some relief soon  Hope you trip to the market is enjoyable.
Thank you for the kind words Greg 🙂👍

And keep your chin close to your chest. ;)
Cheers mate! 😁👍
Hope you have a great day at the market buddy! Watch out for them low beams.
Thank you very much my friend, I'll try! 😊👍
I hope things turn out alright for you, Jack.

In the US, we tend to think that your medical system is so perfect as ours is a bit of a catastrophe. I'm sorry to hear otherwise.
Thanks a lot Erik 🙂 It used to be a great system, but it's not fit for purpose currently I'm afraid ☹️👍

Good morning Guardians, looks like it's set to rain all day here, but I'm sure I'll still have fun down at the market. Have a good day everyone 👍👍

Maybe you can find a pate plate there to go in your flat cap!

I have been carrying My beautiful Ebony around with me since we shifted into our House- but do you think I have taken a Picture!!- So now this weekend calls for a EDC change- and this wonderful gifted beauty will be back in service- always a Lambsfoot in the mix!

Please forgive me for my absence Guardians.

It's great to see you here Duncan, and I hope you and Sue have settled into your new home :) It's good to see your AC my friend :)

Good idea Jer! My flat cap might have saved me a bit last week, but I was only wearing an unlined ball cap. It might have stopped me gashing my head though. There was much talk of last week's incident today, but I stayed well clear of my adversary 🤨

Hi Guardianship. Today is the day. Movers here in an hour. We are leaving behind some good. We planted this 9 years ago as a tiny sap. View attachment 1924300
Good luck with everything Pete! :)

I hope everyone is having a good day. I had to call in at the chemist's to pick up a prescription (told me to come back in 10 minutes, as per usual), and at the post office to return the dodgy electronic sciatica device I was conned into buying (probably another £7.50 down the drain, in addition to the original £50), so by the time I got to the market, Tool Man was on his second, or possibly third, breakfast! :D

Two and a half hour's later, I went to the pharmacy, and was told I'd "have to wait 10 minutes" 😠 It took them that long to put to off the shelf items in a bag! 🤬

On the way back to the tool stall, I picked up a jam doughnut from the Polish bakery, and a coffee from the Polish coffee-shop. The surprisingly expensive doughnut was pretty tasty, until I got to the jam, which tasted like it had been produced in the Soviet era!

The stall was looking good, and the Tool Man seemed to have a very good day cash-wise

It rained most of the day, but we had a good crack (that's an old Yorkshire word for fun), and chips for gravy for lunch :) No pic I'm afraid, as they were scoffed too quick! :D

I was really limping coming up the street on my way home, and was surprised to see Milo, the young Staffordshire Bull Terrier belonging to one of my elderly neighbours, trotting down the street towards me, unaccompanied. Fortunately, he was glad to come back up the road with me, and I returned him to my neighbour, who was unaware he'd managed to slip out. Milo is a rascal for sure! I'll have to get a pic sometime :)
