I think I dreaded school on Monday enough to ruin Sunday. Also, Saturday morning cartoons were the best and Sunday morning only had "Davy and Goliath"![]()
Do you know, I thought the same myself! And there was never anything on the TV on Sunday nights!![]()
Sunday at 6PM was Walt Disney then the Ed Sulivan Show, followed by Bonanza, then Bed arrrgh![]()
Jack posted a really nice looking apple pie earlier this week.I was jealous and showed the Missus said pie.
She says Jack is an enablerI say good on Jack! Rhubarb and strawberry it is.

You're so right David once Bonanza was over,I can still hear my Dad, "Hit The Hay"And Bonanza! Ya know guys that was literally a school bell on Sunday evening. After watching the snooker/footy/Sunday afternoon war film with my grandad it was then Bonanza. I loved it but it really did say "that's all folks...weekends over"![]()

I did research on what the H@%% a Chip Butty isYikes! a dieticians nightmare
So I thought it would be fitting to ad Canada's equivalent.
Poutine is a dish originating from the Canadian province of Quebec consisting of French fries and cheese curds topped with a brown gravy.

I love this food! I used to say years ago mind youThe funny thing is New Orleans' take on the Chip Butty is a French fry and roast beef gravy po' boy. I like to add provolone to mine. It's a mash up of a Chip Butty and Poutine!
Oh, I love fresh figs! I'll bet they make for a nice patina, too. I've been trying to remember to check the trees in the neighborhood. There's about two hours between the figs being ripe, and the birds pecking them all. It's fig season again and my tree is loaded with fruit.
