Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thats great! Thanks for posting that, I've never seen it before. Watched 'Convoy' just the other night; he's great in that as well. I guess though it's not a song for people who, like me, quite like Sundays :D
I like Sundays as well, it's funny though, ever since I was a boy, I always felt melancholic. Don't know why it feels different, it just does.:)

Noggin the Nog....?? Thats a new one on me; I'm going to have to investigate more :) Nor do I remember the impromptu Tom & Jerry. They should do that nowadays; I reckon that would cheer up a few folk :D
Ok cheers for that, I've always meant to check out the Globe cos it's there own brewery there isn't it. And it's the one with the veggie food I think to.

Really? Check it out, the soothing tones of Oliver Postgate's narration will have you napping faster than a couple of afternoon pints on a hot day! :D If you've ever seen Captain Pugwash, you'll notice some similarities

I've had food at The Globe, and it was very good, and unbelievably cheap, as is everything there. Nice friendly place, dead ordinary (in a good way). The beer I've always found lacking a bit though

Here's something to cheer you up Dave ;)

Great pic Rob, looking forward to seeing more of Dylan's pocket-slips as they land with their respective Guardians :)

They do mini tripods not much bigger than a pencil GT - not the best tripods, but they sure are pocketable! :D A pleasure my friend, and thank you :) Nice to see this week's Lambsfoot, I have just been over to York for a pint and dinner. You know when you order food in a restaurant, and they bring it out, and you think 'Wow, that's way bigger than I expected'?! Then they bring more out!! I am still stuffed! :D
Thanks for the info about mini-tripods and maxi-meals, Jack! ;):cool:

I figure anything under 30 seconds a day isn't too shabby, so yeah. This is the most accurate mechanical I've ever had, I haven't even opened it up to fiddle with it, and I got it for free from a guy who figured he couldn't sell it because it's a "Grampa watch". (Such of the kids nowadays who wear a watch aren't happy unless it's heavy enough to make them walk in circles and big enough to read in a tower from across a town square.)
The concidence of the second hands is serendipitous- I can't set them. But the minute hands are pretty blinkin' close.

And every little bit helps.
:cool::cool::thumbsup:

Got my 2018 slip yesterday, great job on these Dylan!!:thumbsup::thumbsup: well worth the wait ! Thanks for taking time out of your busy life to make slips for the Guardians:thumbsup: the hand written card is a nice touch and appreciated ! Thank you. @Pàdruig

Looks fantastic, Rob; congrats!:thumbsup::thumbsup: I really liked Dylan's embossed abstract ram's head on the reddish slips from 2017, but this more realistic "head stamp" (or whatever it's called) is very impressive on both sides of the slip!:thumbsup::cool:

Great pic and slip Rob! Unfortunately, I couldn't order the 2018 Horn, as I previously had ordered a horn from a UK dealer. It just arrived, it took 13 weeks, at least it arrived! :p

Congrats, Dave, that glows like a campfire ember!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

In early December '17 my friend Jack acquired two knives from A. Wright for me. These were the large model Lambsfoot pattern. One was in Pere David Stag and one was Buffalo Horn. The horn model had some of the most beautiful horn I have ever saw on the mark side. The pile side was nice but nothing like the mark side. To make a long story short, the horn model developed a horrible case of warpage. It was worse than anything I could have imagined. I took pictures and Jack showed them to Wright's but they didn't really have any answers. I loved the knife because it had excellent fit and finish and the fact that Jack was so kind to pick it out for me. I decided to have it fixed where I could enjoy it to the fullest! I contacted our friend @glennbad and we decided to rehaft the Lambsfoot with some Ironwood that Glenn had on hand. I think the results speak for themselves in the photos. I know that Ironwood can be difficult to photo because of the orange and brown tones that show up in different angles of the light. I really appreciate Glenn's work and the skill he exhibited in making this into one of my most cherished Lambsfoot knives.

The beautiful horn as it left the factory or before photo. The severe warpage developed in the end next to the bolsters. I had some photos that showed the warpage but I believe I have misplaced them on another device for now.

You're welcome my friend :) It's funny, whenever I walk down Fossgate/Walmgate in York now, I always think of you and your family :)

Thanks for your kind words, and it's great to see your Union Jack here :) I'm excited about what next week holds in store! :)

I know what it is. It's a throwback to our schooldays when Sunday evening was always getting ready for school time :(

Great looks like a trip to Glossop is on the cards then  And thanks for the suggestion, I've suffered insomnia for decades. Maybe Noggin the Nog is the cure I've been looking for :D

And now I'm craving Mexican

Nice solid pic Kevin. That's a fine looking horn.:)

Thanks, I picked up a new phone, as my old one decided to only work when it felt like it. I am still trying to figure the camera on this thing. It isn't helping that the light is all weird do to all the smoke in the air. Last I heard, we have three fires here in California.

I realized that I put the wrong knife with the 2018 pocket slip so I took another.

Here is the other pocket slip that @Pàdruig so generously included. Thank you, Dylan! It matches some other leather gear that another forum friend made for me. The wallet started out the same color as the rest leather. The veg tanned leather just gets better looking with age.

Do you know, I thought the same myself! And there was never anything on the TV on Sunday nights! :(

Let me know how you find it my friend :) And good luck with Noggin! ;)
