That's good to hearI'm a little better this afternoon. Not sleeping as much. Appetite is coming back slowly.
That's good to hearI've only fallen asleep once today, and haven't felt as groggy as I have the previous couple of days. I hope you continue to feel better tomorrow

A most generous and thoughtful offering. I have one of each. They are rare beauties. Fortunate are those who receive either one.Hi folks. This is a bit out of the ordinary but please bear with me...
This year, I've made an effort to sell off or give away the bulk of my collection. I held on to my tortoise shells, things that hold strong sentimental value, and some of my moderns/fixed blades...but, little by little, everything else is finding a new home. I wouldn't feel right putting these two up for sale in the exchange or anywhere else. I'd like someone in this group to have them, use them, enjoy them. So, if you are a "Guardian of the Lambsfoot" and do not have either of these SFOs that Jack, very generously and patiently, coordinated a few years back, please reach out to me and I'll get you sorted...free of charge. I am pretty sure you will not find these anywhere else and they belong in this group. One is Ironwood (?) with polished blade the other is Snakewood with damascus blade and file work. Cheers.

That's a good sign.
But you call that over-toasted? I spent most of yesterday scouring a saucepan from the previous night's popcorn fire.
I was impressed how much smoke there was before my smoke-detectors detected it.

I'm trying to train myself to not leave the kitchen when anything at all is on.
Many years ago, a lady I hadn't seen in too long came for a visit. She brought me a brand new wok. Rubbing some oil in it, I put it on the stove to season. Then..lets just say 20 minutes or so passLOL!Many years ago, a neighbour called in for a coffee. About 2 hours later, he suddenly remembered he had a rhubarb pie in the oven!
We shot round, and the pie looked like a blackened earthenware pot!
He scooped out the rhubarb, and knocked up some more pastry!
I have to say, his fireproof pastry was really on the heavy side!
