Thanks Harvey, sunrise is my favorite time of day.
Very generous, well done!Hi folks. This is a bit out of the ordinary but please bear with me...
This year, I've made an effort to sell off or give away the bulk of my collection. I held on to my tortoise shells, things that hold strong sentimental value, and some of my moderns/fixed blades...but, little by little, everything else is finding a new home. I wouldn't feel right putting these two up for sale in the exchange or anywhere else. I'd like someone in this group to have them, use them, enjoy them. So, if you are a "Guardian of the Lambsfoot" and do not have either of these SFOs that Jack, very generously and patiently, coordinated a few years back, please reach out to me and I'll get you sorted...free of charge. I am pretty sure you will not find these anywhere else and they belong in this group. One is Ironwood (?) with polished blade the other is Snakewood with damascus blade and file work. Cheers.
*edit* these both found good homes...glad to keep them in the group.

Oh no!Many years ago, a lady I hadn't seen in too long came for a visit. She brought me a brand new wok. Rubbing some oil in it, I put it on the stove to season. Then..lets just say 20 minutes or so pass View attachment 1942922... and I look up and there's about a foot of smoke in the ceiling. Had to open every window in the apartment in the middle of January![]()
"The Guardians' cooking has gotten a lot better since they learned the smoke alarm wasn't a timer.
I had to tell them, "the food's done before that particular buzzer goes off!"" ~ Ron White
Great pic PeteDad was stairioned at Andrews AFB in the 80s. We spent some great times on the peninsula VA.

Well, my wife and I returned home late last night from our trip to Warsaw, Krakow, Bratislava, Budapest, Vienna, and Prague. 15 days in all and we really laid down the shoe leather on our trip. Looks like I have a lot of catching up to do with the Guardians. Hope you are well, Jack. The photo of your HHB is really great. Many thanks, I'm glad we both seem to have had it mild

Good morning Guardians. Back home now and getting ready to batten down the hatches prior to the arrival of the latest hurricane. Latest reports have it only grazing us but we are still expecting a bunch of rain.
A few shots of Prague and of course my HHB. Glad to have my favorite knife in the pocket again.View attachment 1943325View attachment 1943326

Thanks mate, I don't think all the lying down is good for my back generally, but who knows with the sciaticaSilver lining... perhaps the added rest will do your sciatica some good.![]()
I'm not sure your doctor would recommend that particular treatment.I was talking to a neighbour, who told me that, some years ago, he was carrying some heavy boxes down to the cellar, and went flying down the stairsHurt himself, but he claims not to have had sciatica since
