Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I hate to be a "Debbie Downer" but vision disturbance can be a symptom of many things. If possible, I'd seek medical attention. (easier said than done these days, I know)
Thanks Rachel, that's good advice, as soon as I'm Covid-clear, I'll try and make a doctor's appointment

Cool Fez Barrett (hope I've got that right, and I'm not confusing it with a Turkish Dancing Hat) :)

Just posted this in another thread, but these three from @Modoc ED nearly tripled my flock. Stag lamb has been in my pocket since it got here, thanks Ed.

Very generous :) Nice flock Jeremy :)
Hello Guardians. History made in a small town of Gonzales, Texas October 2, 1835.

Interesting history Pete
Fascinating! I like the sporran! :D There used to be an Orvis store about 5 miles away from me, but they've closed their clothing stores now :(
Happy Sunday Guardians. Been a while! In the depths of the football season. Half way through the season. We are 3-2 right now and had our first league game and ended with a win last Friday.

It's great to see you here Taylor, sounds like the football is going well :)
Facinating kilt vid, Jack. Please listen to @r8shell, my friend. Best wishes for a good week.
Thanks Harvey, I will my friend :) I re-watched that kilt video, and another. It seems that the word 'bonnet' comes from Scots Gaelic
It’s high school football season, been trying to post just have been super busy! I will try and stop by more often! Miss the Gurdians!
Miss you too Taylor, come back soon brother :)

Good morning Guardians, hope you all had a great weekend :) I slept like a log again last night, and still feel a bit groggy. Maybe my brain needs some fresh air! :D I was supposed to have a physiotherapy appointment for my back today, but I had to postpone it. Earliest appointment I could get was Halloween 🎃 I hope your week gets off to a good start

Looks good Ed

Nice pic Bill :)

I think the last time I wore my cap was at York Viking Festival in April. After that it started getting a bit warm for tweed :)

Thanks Jack, you are looking good with your cap also.
When I was a little kid, and my Dad had custody of my Uncle’s Jaguar XK120 for several months, I learned to call it a Sports Car Cap. Novels I read called it a Snap Brim Cap. That was before I learned there are many variations, each with a distinctive name, like Newsboy, depending on the number of panels, and method of construction.

But Bonnet? I thought that was what little girls have to wear to church on Easter Sunday, or that thing that you see lifted up on an MGB roadster on the side of the road while a Lucas electrical part finishes smoking. Now I learn it’s another word for hat?

My favorite, bought at JC Penny, of all places, at least 20 years ago. View attachment 1946866
The rest of the motley assortment. The two tweeds on the bottom I found at Armstrong’s Surplus in Edinburgh. Pronounced “Edinbruh”, ya wankers.View attachment 1946867
A nice collection of caps - I especially like the suede one - it looks very faithful.

Good morning Guardians. The weather has significantly cooled and I pick up with golf again after a two week absence - traveling in Eastern Europe. Good to have my HHB back in my pocket.IMG_3817.JPG

Sorry you're still not feeling well, Jack.
You can slide your extra sammich down to me.
Thanks buddy, I wish I could, I hate wasting food :)
Good morning, Guardians. Good Monday to all.

Thanks Bill, I hope you're settling back in at home after your trip away, and that you enjoy your golf :) Nice photo of your handsome Hartshead Barlow :)

Beautiful pics Pete  I used to love driving around in the early morning :) Certainly when I was going fishing anyway! :D ;)
Thanks, Jack. It’s a Shriners fez that belonged to my grandpa. You won’t catch me wearing it — even if I wanted to, it’s a size 7 1/4 and wouldn’t come close to fitting my big head. 🤣
Ahh, that's interesting Barrett :D

There are still some similar organisations here, but most of them were in decline before I was born. The most common at one time was probably the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffalos, a lot of Sheffield pubs had old Buffs lodges upstairs :D

Very nice assortment of flat caps, Jeff. Top drawer Lambfoot and images, too.

Excellent
Appreciate it, my friend! You know, i wear a hat all summer for sun protection, since having basal cell carcinoma already once. But these flat caps make the hair over my ears flip out like silly wings, so I may have to get out the clippers and buzz around my ears before serious hat wearing season gets here!

Great shots, but remember the old saying, Red sky morning, sailors take warning!

Since I had the makings...:)

Still can't taste much unfortunately :(

Edit - Never happened before, I could only eat one of those :(

Sorry you're still not feeling good Jack. Looks like a good sandwich. I'm still weak and have a lot of congestion but better overall. Hope you enjoy the garden. Sometimes the garden is soothing to the soul. :)
