Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I'm looking after my mate's three kids for 5 hours, from 8.00am tomorrow  The last time I did it, the youngest ran me ragged! That was nearly six months ago, so I'm hoping he has calmed down a bit  The days when, as a youth-worker, I could cope with 70 kids on my own are LONG gone! Since I gave the eldest lad his first Lambsfoot a couple of months back, I am hoping we can do some whittling, so I've just been stropping my old faithful ebony. Haven't carried this one in a while :)

Jack, I know you're a better man than me. I get stressed if my wife leaves me alone with our 4-year old grandson for more than an hour.:eek:

Woot woot! Just received a package in the mail. :D The package was shipped from Leeds to Canmore Alberta, by none other than our Special Friend Jack. There is a very long story behind this pk that Jack was following. For whatever reason, it has been taking up to 13 weeks for the mail to arrive. After two Months or more Jack was concerned that I may never receive the Guardian.
He took it upon himself to ship a back up Guardian  Registered with international tracking and signature, wrapped up in two envelopes, the knife was sealed inside a taped up plastic container. :p Oh, I almost forgot, a really cool Yorkshire medallion came as well.:) Thank you, Jack! Heres to a Good Man.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Glad to see it made it to you at long last! May it be a knife of many stories, all of which end well!

Thank you Sir! I know it sounds silly, but I think it actually stresses a fella, going for the mail every day open the box and nothing inside.
An aspect of Charlie Brown Syndrome (CBS), originally documented by Charles M. Schultz. According to my research, Schultz discovered through observing a young gentleman named Brown for many years that the only way to relieve the stress is by kicking a football....

I'm certainly not Dave, despite working with them as a young feller, having three kids and a granddaughter myself, and treasuring the time I get to spend with them, as I've got older, children quickly exhaust me! :D

Those knives (and the other ones you had coming from Sheffield) certainly took their time Dave! So much for paying for "Priority" shipping! :rolleyes; I'm glad it finally made it though. I'm glad you like the medallion too Dave, I hope the gold-plating doesn't rub off too quickly! :D

Thanks again Jack, its turned out positive :) The gold -plating is safe. I will leave it in its plastic case, which will keep it pristine.:p

Thanks, David, I guess these would have been some of the last pioneers, around the turn of the century.
They were showing a satellite view of the UK where its brown instead of the usual green.

Apologies for the late acknowledgement Dave, I've been on 3 long days. Aye the UK is looking a bit dusty at the moment, though parts have had rain and parts not. Though apparently theres a bit of a deluge on the way for this weekend, just in time for a camping trip I've got planned...

These were taken on our last day in cool, beautiful, rainy Flagstaff before descending back into our desert home. The 115-degree blast furnace we encountered on our way back through Phoenix was certainly a wakeup call. Tucson's 111 degrees seemed bearable by comparison. Ah, well. Back to life, back to reality...

So it'll be desert pics for the foreseeable future ;) Happy Monday, everyone!

111°-115°:eek: we have a heat warning because it's going to be 92° :p this week.

Though obviously it's all relative isn't it 'cos the UK doesn't get as hot what you chaps have posted there. 115 degrees! Now that's hot...

Today's crop.

Hello Guardians! I’ve got some catching up to do. I’m so happy this thread and the knives it is dedicated to are alive and thriving! I don’t mind when it actually takes me thirty minutes or so to catch up when I miss a couple of days! :) I’m Totin my Ironwood bigun around Titusville. I’ll be showing it to Charlie and Bill Howard. Some of us have been lobbying for Great Eastern to make a Lambsfoot. I don’t think it’ll happen in the near future but I for one think it would be a grand thing! Please forgive the recycled photo! Hope everyone is getting along well! :)

When Yorkshire gains independence, it might be legal tender Dave! :D ;)

Nice crop and a good-looking knife my friend :) Hope the rain holds off for your camping trip

My babysitting mission wasn't too bad in the end :) My Lambsfoot was pretty busy, doing everything from cutting fruit, to splitting kindling, and cutting twine

Great choice for Titusville Ron, I'd love to see a GEC Lambsfoot one day, particularly if Charlie was involved :) Hope you all have a great time at the Rendezvous :)

Lobby on, Ron, lobby on! :D

I missed commenting on your Ironwood the first time around, so I’m glad for another opportunity. It turned out marvelously. I bet that, even though it’s a bigun, having it in your pocket lightens your step. :)
