Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend, and that you're feeling hale and hearty today ;) I have another busy week ahead, but hopefully without any of the sort of drama I had last week! Hartshead Barlow ain't afraid of work :D ;) Hope your week gets off to a good start Guardians

Sharp👍🏻
I have Harvey to blame for this one. If he’d just stop posting such amazing pics I’d have never have thought about this one. But I’m sure glad he did! 😃

Thank you Dan. A most useful all weather Lambfoot. Hope you get a lot of good use out of it.

I know the feeling John, I've just done 7 hours of Sheffield cutlery history, and I have more research to do. At one point, my computer crashed, and I was worried I'd lose some of my writing, but I managed to recover everything. Phew! o_O Great pic my friend :)
Thank you, very much. :)
I will definitely get the paperwork done today, because it's due tomorrow... and I'll have another pile of it next month... it never ends. 🤣
Good luck mate 🤞:)
Jack, hope your week goes well too. Very fine photo of your HHB. I also want to say that the work you have been doing on the cane is great - very nice thing that you are doing for the girl whose mother has passed on.
Good morning Guardians. Another glorious day here in coastal southern NC. Going well into the 60's today. Took my morning stroll of 2 miles and should have had my shorts on instead of my workout pants. 😄

Thanks Bill, it's been productive, at least, so far! :D Great pic, and a reminder for me to go and eat some fruit! :D Have a lovely day buddy :)

LOL! :D I know what you mean, before Harvey got one, I'd never looked at that pattern twice! :D Congratulations!

Many thanks Harvey :)

Nice photo Bob, you don’t see the old lights very often. 😎👍

Good Morning Guardians💂‍♀️
Wonderful photo Harvey. 😎👍

Whew!!!!! I was 16 pages behind! I'm glad to see all of the fine Thanksgiving gatherings that were had by you folks. Thank you for all of the well wishing to us Colonials from Guardians living abroad. We had 26 folks here Thanksgiving day and a good time was had by all. It takes Cherri and me several days to recuperate afterwards. 😵‍💫 Plus Cherri is recovering from foot surgery. We had new friends spend the day with our family and four last-minute walk-ins. :) Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. There's nothing better than counting one's blessings and they are too numerous to count.

They took my wallet and watch, made me wear strange ill-fitting clothes, which robbed me of my dignity, questioned me, made me wear a mask, ear-plugs, and headphones, and then they put me in a hole, and subjected me to what sounded like German industrial techno. Apart from that they were nice to me at the hospital, but I have to wait at least a couple of weeks for the results of the MSR scan
Great prose Jack. You really should consider writing for a living... 😁
Thanks Dan. I only post images like this, strictly to prevent the the Guardians from going to page 2, which was formerly a subtle gesture
I really enjoy these images Harvey almost as much as your lambs!
I've been tinkering around with a few things this afternoon, one of which is a walking cane refurbishment. A young girl I know recently lost her grandmother, and she has her old cane. I made the same girl a hiking staff last year, so she asked me if I would refurbish her grandmother's cane. The old rubber ferrule was badly worn and perished, so I gave her various options how I might replace it. She asked for an extended brass ferrule, which I made from some brass tubing, and I've added a US One Cent piece, as it fits perfectly. If I get time tomorrow, I'll polish it all, and wax the stick. After I fitted the ferrule, I was filing the bottom of the stick flat, and my AC came in handy for picking out a couple of stubborn bits of the old wood
You are a fine fellow my friend - one more blessing to count. Oh - and I'm glad you triumphed over the last week of boiler issues. 👍

So... our friend and master cutlery artisan Cosimo de Benedetto said he wanted to try his version of a Taylor's Eye Witness. Needless to say I was all in...
Just a smidgen under 4". 5/8" thick. Camel bone jigged by Cosimo himself. K720 Carbon Steel of Böhler-Uddeholm
