Wow! The Lambsfoot has really gone international!A new custom from F. Benini of Brazil. RALF is getting some bench time (sorry!). Now I have a standard in carbon, and a stainless big'n (4").

It looks good JeffThanks, Jack, I got the knife from traumkommode, who did a little extra work on it, enhancing the "lambsfootedness" of the spine. He and Benini did a beautiful job.
Bill, are your friends in Raleigh familiar with (the name of) Joseph Gales, the founder of The Raleigh Register? He is a very famous Sheffielder, and would have known the Barlow family well, having his shop and office opposite their home in the Hartshead. Inspired by Thomas Paine, he founded The Sheffield Register in 1787. He was eventually forced to flee state persecution, escaping to Germany, and then to America, where he finally settled in Raleigh, founding the town newspaper, which he continued to edit for 40 years. He died in Raleigh on the 24th August 1841, at the grand old age of 80. His youngest son, born in North Carolina, succeeded him as editor. His elder son was also a journalist, joining the National Intelligencer, in Washington, in 1808, eventually passing away in 1860. If your friends don't know of Gales, he is well worth researchingGood morning Guardians. Got back home yesterday from our brief stay in Raleigh...

The textures in your photo are amazing Harvey.
I’m going to have to change my shorts!Whew!!!!! I was 16 pages behind!I'm glad to see all of the fine Thanksgiving gatherings that were had by you folks. Thank you for all of the well wishing to us Colonials from Guardians living abroad. We had 26 folks here Thanksgiving day and a good time was had by all. It takes Cherri and me several days to recuperate afterwards.
Plus Cherri is recovering from foot surgery. We had new friends spend the day with our family and four last-minute walk-ins.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. There's nothing better than counting one's blessings and they are too numerous to count.
Great prose Jack. You really should consider writing for a living...
I really enjoy these images Harvey almost as much as your lambs!
You are a fine fellow my friend - one more blessing to count. Oh - and I'm glad you triumphed over the last week of boiler issues.
So... our friend and master cutlery artisan Cosimo de Benedetto said he wanted to try his version of a Taylor's Eye Witness. Needless to say I was all in...
Just a smidgen under 4". 5/8" thick. Camel bone jigged by Cosimo himself. RWL34 martensitic stainless
It is a dream lambsfoot.View attachment 2001591View attachment 2001589View attachment 2001590

On the porch. My dog Patches had oral surgery today. They took out an abscessed tooth and another. No food choppers, so that is good. I’m waiting on the wife to bring her home. No doubt she will need some love.
