Nice presentation of Spalty Steve.
Cool that you have it SteveThanks Jack, I think it was my great grandpa's . I knew it was a match box but never knew it was called a Vespa. Thanks for the lesson![]()

It looked very tasty my friend!![]()
Cool that you have it SteveI see them regularly here, but they're expensive. They were often carried in a waistcoat pocket, on the opposite end of the (double) chain to a pocket watch. It's actually Vesta, rather than Vespa, if you want to research them
Don't want you being struck down!

Thanks Bob.Great setting for your lamb Dwight.

I must say ---- That is one beautiful piece of cutlery...Here’s my new lambsfoot. It’s 4 inches with a 3 inch blade. Daniel Keown made it. He made the Pruner I bought and he’s a member here. And one thing led to another and now I have a flock.

I agree. And he had never done a lambsfoot before this one…I must say ---- That is one beautiful piece of cutlery...
Well it could not be more beautiful. I'm not sure it is going to be declared a "lambsfoot" by Jack but we will see. Either way it is spectacular.I agree. And he had never done a lambsfoot before this one…
Beautiful knife, really gorgeous... but it looks more "Wharnie" than "Lambie"Here’s my new lambsfoot
Thank you Todd. That looks sooooooo cool Harvey.![]()
It is certainly a beautiful knife. Congratulations. The knife posed upside down, with the main focus of the blade on its’ straight edge, could lead one to to think wharnie, but I rotated the image and to my imperfect eyes, it looks like a lambfoot. Here’s my new lambsfoot. It’s 4 inches with a 3 inch blade. Daniel Keown made it. He made the Pruner I bought and he’s a member here. And one thing led to another and now I have a flock.

Thank you Jack! That's nice to know. Some years ago, the young 'uns were using 'Boss' as a complimentary adjective David![]()

Still used here as a term of endearment , but only by knockabouts from my generation or older, and not many of us left. Been to far too many funerals over the last few years of a lot of my old " Knockabout Mates ".Some years ago, the young 'uns were using 'Boss' as a complimentary adjective David
Beautiful photo Dwight. That HHB is really coming along on patina Jack.
Thanks Bob.

Tell him to make it look more like a Lambsfoot next time!I agree. And he had never done a lambsfoot before this one…
That would be great to seeThe angle of the spine goes down the whole way. Maybe more of an angle and a less of a curve at the end of the blade would be better. The blade is closer to my Kroo at the end than my Toole. Tomorrow I’ll take a picture of all three together.
The angle of where the blade meets the body is flatter then either the Toole or Kroo though.
It was fun having a knife built.
I think it was popularised by a TV series called 'Red Dwarf', which I never watchedThank you Jack! That's nice to know.![]()

Great to see your Waynorth Lambsfoot
It's still common, in that form, here Leon, I get called it regularly, but it always makes me cringe a bit!Still used here as a term of endearment , but only by knockabouts from my generation or older, and not many of us left.
