Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians, hope your week is going well. I have a few errands to run today, but I'm hoping to call in at Charlie's cafe on my way to town ;) Carrying my Ebony Charlie Lamb again today, hoping its jigged bone brother isn't getting jealous! :D Have a good day Guardians

A trip to Charlie’s is good omen for today.
Good Morning Guardians
Going on our second day with out power. I'm using my phone's "hot spot" to check in. They say we won't have power back until Friday morning. So, you'll have to excuse my inactivity these next couple of days. Getting ready to head over to a friend's house to take a shower since we are on a well and have no water without electricity. Maybe it's time to start building a windmill. 😁
That sucks. Maybe a future generator?
Hope you get power soon John, hang in there and be safe. 😎👍

Good morning Guardians. Another desk shot today. 😎👍View attachment 2042512
Nice one Todd.

That really is very attractive 😎 Great pic too my friend
Thank you sir.
A royal pose Dwight, I enjoy seeing that horn
Thank you Bob.
( one more year to retirement for her)
Good for her! I assume you are already retired since golf is on your agenda this morning... 😁
Thanks a lot mate :)

Thank you Bob, I called in at Charlie's cafe on the way, for coffee and a croissant. I am learning a little Italian there! :D Like me, Hisham, the owner, likes good bread, and he took me to buy some, from a bakery about 3 miles away. I'm just trying a couple of slices, with some butter, a malted sourdough, very tasty :)

Probably more than they paid for it too, postage has really gone up here! Nice pic Bob, I hope your wife enjoyed her lunch :)

Nice work, @r8shell has also done a Lambsfoot mod :)
Gorgeous CC Ebony Lamb Jack. I love bread too and sourdough is one of my faves for french toast.

Well John at least having your own well will be great when the apocalypse occurs. I've been seriously considering drilling a well and placing a deep well hand pump on it for when the whole system goes down. Hang in there buddy. You might consider just becoming one of the unwashed...😁

Many thanks Dwight, it's hard to beat isn't it? :)
Ace pic buddy, kind of spooky! :D :)
Good Morning, Guardians! Dwight, you're certainly showing some gorgeous lambs recently. That is either one small ram or one huge lamb!
Either way, great pic. I just took a new one of my RALF and Beni together. Have a great one . . .

Nice pair Jeff !

Morning Guardians !

Yesterday I had to get up on my roof and clear snow back from the edge of the roof about six feet. With all the early wet snow there are big ice dams forming. This should take care of it for the winter, I hope. It was a workout. First I had to get my big ladder out of the garage and carry it around the front of the house. Then two stories up and then shovel 16 inches deep snow off of the edge. I then had to clear the snow on the ground off of my deck and front walk.

Needless to say I'm pretty sore this morning. Getting too old for that kind of work.
;)

Glad I got it done as I woke up to freezing rain.

You be careful buddy, that sounds pretty strenuous, with lots of accident potential  I do find it frustrating how things I once found easy are a struggle now, sure we're not alone in that Steve. Get yourself a hot bath :) Nice pic of Rosie, I think I might carry Big Rose tomorrow :)

Thanks Jack, I was very careful. Wore my ice spikes and took my time. I'm comfortable with heights and ladders since I've been using them almost all my life. To pay someone to do what I did would be expensive and I didn't want to risk getting water damage on my ceilings. I've been here in this house for twenty three years and this is only the third time I've had to do this. It may be the last time though ;)

Cool pic Todd, I have just been talking to my elderly neighbour about memory cards :)
Thanks Jack, funny how stuff like that happens.
Nice one Todd.
Thanks Harvey.😎👍

Wow, beautiful lamb Harvey, love the reflection in the photo. 😎👍
Sweet photo Dwight. 😎👍

That's good to hear Steve 🙂 I have had to pack in doing a few things this past decade. I used to climb out of the first floor window onto the roof of the ground floor bay window. Getting back in though, involved balancing on the window ledge, hanging off the edge of the window, and raising my leg four feet into the air, and through the window, before pulling myself in. The last time I did it, it took me 10 minutes to get in, and it didn't help that a passer-by took me for a burglar! 😳😁👍
Thanks Jack, funny how stuff like that happens.
Yes, indeed 🙂 My neighbour is in his 80's, and he had a much better understanding than Tool Man! 🤣👍

Many years ago, my girlfriend's elderly grandfather was having trouble with his TV reception. Rather than wait until his son, who lived next door, came home, he got his ladders out. He only fell about 4 feet, but broke his ankle. He sat down on the ground, and when his son returned home, he found his poor father dead from hypothermia ☹️ Be careful out there folks 👍

PG&E strikes again - errrrrrrrrrrrrr fizzles again. They just don't seem to be able to harden their system to withstand the challenges presented by the current storms. We have a pull start generator for the house but do not have the pump house on it. I keep three seven gallon water containers on hand for toilet flushing and since Cindy's kidney surgery we always have five or six cases of bottled water and 8 to 10 gallon bottles of water on hand for cooking. If you do get a generator get a self-starting one or you can go to the ridiculous price of having an automatic change over system installed. Thankfully, we have Pacific Power and outages are few and far between. Our generator is 5500 watt but should we have to replace it, I'd get one with at least a 7000 watt capacity. One of these days I might get the pump house on the generator.

Ed, you know what PG&E stands for? Pigs Grabbing Everything! 😡

I think you did grand job of making the ram jealous. Very nice.
It is nice to say I'm going on 18 yrs. of retirement from teaching.....I help friends with their steel and woodworking businesses occassionally to shake my mind up.
Enjoy your day Dwight.
