It is a peaceful time when all the world around you is asleep. The beach was my favorite place to meander after a night out.Good morning Guardians, how's your weekend going? I was hoping to call in at Charlie's Cafe on my way to my pal's last night, but it was closedI had a nice evening with my friends though, saw their kids, and met their new kittens. The film was interesting, if somewhat unusual, but I didn't enjoy the trudge back up the hill, after midnight, in the cold. Most of my life I haven't gone to bed until midnight, and when I was younger, (and not too much younger), I enjoyed nothing more than walking home in the early hours, or at dawn, but these days I'm usually in bed at midnight, and staying up late leaves me tired the next day. I have some housework to do unfortunately, but I'm hoping to spend some time on the sofa too!
Carrying my trusty Hartshead Barlow again
Have a great Sunday Guardians

Absolutely my friend, years ago, even in the cities, the streets were quiet, and peace reignedIt is a peaceful time when all the world around you is asleep. The beach was my favorite place to meander after a night out.
Now, burning the midnight oil requires a midday nap.

I go to bed early, usually around 9:30, because I enjoy waking up before everybody else does.It is a peaceful time when all the world around you is asleep.
LOL!I go to bed early, usually around 9:30, because I enjoy waking up before everybody else does.
It's the same reason as you've both mentioned, it's a quiet time when everybody else is sleeping.
Plus, I'm not a morning person. It takes me an hour and a couple of cups of coffee to become tolerable.

Jack, I used to enjoy driving home with the convertible top down, at midnight (or later in the wee hours) on a balmy summer night but not in the winter!Good morning Guardians, how's your weekend going? Wonderful Bill, I have done that a few times in the past, but we don't really have the climate for it here!Jack, I used to enjoy driving home with the convertible top down, at midnight (or later in the wee hours) on a balmy summer night but not in the winter!Hopefully you will be well rested today.
Your HHB is a great companion.
Good morning Guardians. Watched some NFL football last night and stayed up beyond my bedtime but I slept in and feel pretty good this morning.Yesterday I re-gripped my golf clubs with the help of my HHB. Cutting the old grips off is laborious and can be a bit treacherous if you aren't careful. I'll haveMr. HHB in the pocket again today.

Enjoy your day Jack.
Thanks for posting it Jeff, it was an interesting thread. They are certainly not the easiest pattern to collect these days. Apart from the factors you mention, since this thread popularised the pattern, prices for vintage Lambs have gone up, and more folks are competing for a declining number of knives. 10 years ago, they were, by far, the most common pattern I found on market stalls, but I see much fewer today. Thanks to all the Guardians who posted in my Flock thread. I was a bit surprised that the vast majority of us only have a few lambies; I thought there would be more with 5-10 pieces. But upon further reflection I realized that there just aren't very many made any more, and to have large collections would require buying older knives which many are reluctant to get into because of lack of knowledge about pricing and originality.
