Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Pete, reminds me of the first time my daughter brought a boyfriend home from college and I made a point of cleaning my Glock 22 and Python in front of him. My daughter wouldn’t speak to me for a couple of months. Thankfully she ended marrying a gun guy last year. 😜
Dan you are a good man! This made me spill my cup. 👍😂🔥

Hello Guardians. It’s been a fun and interesting week. I decided to fill the three manager vacancies I have this month. I hired one last week. Had 4 interviews this week for the second position and 4 interviews for the third position next week.

People are looking for work in my area these days.

Anyway I have a habit of pulling my pocket knife out to fiddle with it at work. So today I got blood lamb out and started snicking it open and closed during an interview without thinking about it. Then it dawned on me that this behavior may possibly be seen untoward by the applicant. Well it didn’t. He seemed unconcerned. Obviously he is on to the second round. 😂😂😂👍

Hope you all enjoy the weekend.

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone made it through the week OK, and that you have a great weekend to look forward to :) I'm going to get a coffee at Charlie's, and then go for a walk in the park, before going to get some shopping. Might fit lunch in somewhere ;) First I need a shave! :D Have a great day everyone :) I'm carrying my Hartshead Barlow for the first time this week

That lamb is a wonderful creation. I'm glad the weather is cooperating for your outdoor plans. Enjoy the day Jack.

Thanks Bob :) It's still cold here, with a heavy frost, but no rain, thankfully :) It can rain for a week at a time here 😒

Jack, sounds like you have a good plan for the start of the week end. As always, your HHB is looking good.

Good morning Guardians. Hope everyone is well. My son, Chris, is visiting with us and has been walking with me when ever I I go out. Been a very nice time. I'll be carrying my HHB most of the time. Been sharing some pocket time with other knives I have but my Hartshead is always my "go to" knife.

A fine classic to carry on your walks. Glad you can enjoy some time with your son Bill.

Good morning everyone,
Two new lambs...the Roger's will follow me on my errands.
I'm having my doubts about the stainless, I want to say a cheap knock off.View attachment 2053803
Congratulations Bob, that's a nice-looking Rodgers Barlow 😎 How's the fit and finish? Sorry to hear you're disappointed with the other one. Unfortunately, throughout the second half of the 20th century, and into the 21st century, while good quality knives could still be found in Sheffield, CHEAP is what most of the cutlery firms excelled at ☹️👍

Thanks a lot Bill, I'm just having a coffee in Charlie's. It's in the high 20's here today, and while I'm warmly dressed, it still feels 'fresh' 😁 That sounds really nice Bill, it must be great to spend some time with Chris, and for him to spend time with his old dad 😊 Enjoy the rest of your weekend buddy 👍

Hi Jack
I am pleasantly surprised with the fit and finish of this lamb. The action is firm but fluid. The Buffalo is very nice. The other will become a garden knife, especially since it is all stainless.
Unfortunately, it seems the demise of craftsmanship stretches beyond the cutlery business.

That's great to hear Bob, the company who own the Rodgers name (Eggington) have knives made up by various Sheffield cutlers, so they can vary a little - though perhaps not to the extent that some made entirely in house can vary! Isn't the Buffalo stainless, as far as I knew, all Eggington knives had been stainless for many years, though I do know that Wright's made some knives for them a few years back, and I'm not sure what the blade steel was in that case (I'd assumed stainless) 👍

Indeed it does my friend 😟👍

Hi Jack,
Yes it is stainless and thanks for the background info.

reminds me of the first time my daughter brought a boyfriend home from college and I made a point of cleaning my Glock 22 and Python in front of him
My late Father-in-Law did the same thing when I first met him. He was excited that it didn't phase me at all and I complimented him on his choice of guns... he knew I was sticking around.
Oddly enough, I was also the first boyfriend that walked up and shook his hand, and the only Son-in-Law that asked for his daughter's hand... and I was the quiet one, go figure. 🤣
Nice to see you packing your old faithful again. 🤠
I like the blade profile on the Rodgers... slim and sexy. 🤠

Thanks John, it is quite nice and a tad smaller than my others.
