Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Hope everyone has managed to round their week off safe and sound. After hearing from Duane's wife last night, I didn't sleep well, and then got up at 5am to write a few words to let everyone know about his passing :(

In the afternoon, Tool Man rang me, as he had decided he was due some new business cards, and it's easier to call me than use the Google function! o_O I ended up searching the internet for him, and emailing him links, but then I also had to mock-up several designs for him, order, and pay for them, with telephone conversations between every stage! 🤯 He has promised to buy the chips next week! 🤔😵‍💫🤣

I thought I'd lose myself for a few minutes, messing around with putting a new crossbow together, but I got lost for a couple of hours, or so, some of which was spent trying to find a tiny trigger spring, which I'd dropped on the floor! 😖

Nice to see all the kind words about @sitflyer :)
I see chips are getting expensive in England.😁

That's a lot of hard work for some chips. 🤣
Yeah, and it'll probably be me fetching the chips! 🤔 😖:D:thumbsup:

LOL! 🤣 The first site I ordered from, Tool Man baulked at the price. I tried several other sites, eventually finding them at a better price, but the site was archaic, and would only accept a 10 digit mobile number, when they have 11 digits here! 😖 I'd just about had enough, but Tool Man was behaving as if I was threatening to cancel Christmas, so I had to ring the place, whereupon I got the Tool Man of the printing world! :eek:o_O🤯
Afternoon Guardians! Boss is being Boss. 🤠 View attachment 2061270
No wonder Bruce Springsteen named himself after your knife David! 🤣;)

Thought I would introduce myself over here. I have had a great introduction to the lambsfoot by combing through this most impressive thread. My favorite part about being a member of the porch is the friends I have made. I have noticed that many of the porch regulars are on this thread and want to get to know you guys a little better. I was saddened to hear about @sitflyer passing. I told myself that I would be a little more engaging on the porch and thus why I'm here.

I have come to really love the lambsfoot in the last year that I have been into traditionals. It is by far my most carried knife. Up until last week I only had one, an A. Wright with ebony covers that I carried constantly. Over the last 2 weeks I have also purchased a George Wostenholm IXL with rosewood covers and an A Wright demascus stag model. I was lucky enough to see the stag on the exchange.

I want to thank Jack Black Jack Black for my endless questions on this knife. He is always gracious with his time and answers.

Here is my humble little collection so far.

Hey Paul, good to see ya over here! 😎👍
Nice lamb, hope ya had a good week Pete. Time to pop a cold one. 😎👍

Well it’s been a week. Wife tested + for Covid Monday. She has felt rather crappy but has not had any breathing issues. She smiled today for the first time since Sunday so woohoo!

I’ve been at home taking care of her and waiting for the shoe to drop. We had a fantastic walk with the dogs Sunday and shared a bottle of water so…

I hope everyone has had a good week and here are some pics of my afternoon.

Sorry to hear about your wife Pete. I hope she doesn't have too bad a case of it and I hope you escape the Covid.
Good morning Guardians, I'm afraid I have some sad news to share today, our friend and fellow Guardian Duane sitflyer has passed away :( Duane was a big man, with some of the biggest hands I've seen outside a boxing ring. He treasured his Big 'Un, so I'll be carrying one in his memory today
I am so saddened to hear of Duane"s passing. Thank you for sharing the news Jack. I really enjoyed his presence here, one of the best members.
Amen

Most likely. 😁

Indeed 😁

No chips available here, but plenty of " Spuds ". Been getting used to using my air-fryer and i cannot believe i have not purchased one long ago. They are fantastic, and aren't i hearing all about from my friend who has been telling me for years to get one. Just cooked a LAMB steak with roast potato's for dinner. Delish. 💯 :p:p:p.

A real shame Dwight :(
Stunning pic buddy :)
Most likely. 😁
He has convinced himself that I get bigger portions of chips because one of the ladies who works there has taken a shine to me! 🤣
I got the impression that the business was just some old feller with a printer, and a website set up by his nephew or something! :D When I told him I couldn't order because my phone number wasn't accepted, he wearily said, "Oh yeah, just leave the first zero off, and I'll be able to work it out." I wonder how many orders he's lost! 😖
🤣
Rarer than a Charlie's Lamb here, unobtanium.
I've heard that Leon, terrible!
I'm an idiot.
Not at all! :D :)

How come there are spuds, but no chips Leon, have they been frozen? That looks delicious, nice to see you're not going hungry mate :) ;)

Good morning Guardians, welcome to the weekend, and I hope you have a good one. I have plenty to do indoors today, but I might manage a trip to Charlie's ;) Got my Hartshead Barlow in my pocket :)
