Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

How come there are spuds, but no chips
They say that McCains the main frozen chip manufacturer and McDonalds have the market cornered, with supply tight after all the rain. I reckon that is rubbish, you can buy as many fresh potato's as you want. I think people have just gotten lazy and forgotten how to cook and just keep clearing out the freezers in all the supermarkets. But the poor old corner chippie is being caught up in all of this, nearly impossible to get fish AND chips, you can get fish but no chips or a limited amount. Crazy times. 🤯

That's more complicated than I realised mate! It's always the little people who suffer though isn't it? ☹️👍

Nice lamb, hope ya had a good week Pete. Time to pop a cold one. 😎👍
Thank you Todd. I did pop a cold can of pop last night with my soup. 👍👍
Sorry to hear about your wife Pete. I hope she doesn't have too bad a case of it and I hope you escape the Covid.
Thanks Dwight, she is doing much better. Unfortunately I have tested positive. Other than some mental fog I feel fine however. This is my second time.
Just cooked a LAMB steak with roast potato's for dinner. Delish. 💯 :p:p:p.
🤩 mouth watering, that looks amazing

Good morning Guardians,

I’ll be taking it easy for a few days so be forewarned that I may be hyperactive on the forum! I am watching FA cup football this morning and drinking some coffee. Got this lamb on the coffee table keeping me company. Have a great weekend. 😎👍

Looking good Jer :)
Hope your weekend is off to a good start. 🤠

Thanks pal, you too :)

I've been wanting to send Tyson A Wright Tyson A Wright a parcel for a few weeks, but there was massive distribution to the mail here at Christmas, and then the Royal Mail announced they weren't accepting parcels to be shipped abroad, supposedly due to a cyber attack! ☹️ Earlier this week, their website announced they were now shipping parcels internationally again. Because of my computer woes, I've been busy this week, but I headed down to the central post office, via Charlie's Cafe, today. When I arrived though, there were notices up saying that they still weren't shipping internationally (the ParcelFarce bit is complete rubbish, they don't ship from the post office). A young woman arrived at the same time, as me, and was equally surprised. She said she'd checked the Royal Mail website that morning, and had a small business, which the shipping issue was seriously damaging. Because of the confusion, we went inside, and asked, where they confirmed that no international parcels were being accepted. They had no idea how long the situation would last, but presumably when the situation changes, there'll be a massive backlog! 😠 It's been hard to believe that I live in a First World country lately! 🤬

I'm sorry for the troubles, Jack. :( No hurry on our end.

There is English craftsman specializing in Bronze Age weapons and tools named Neil Burridge. Probably the best in the world at what he does. I've wanted to buy one of his Canaanite Khopeshes for a while, it just hasn't got to the top of the list yet. And now it never will, because he recently announced that he will no longer sell internationally because shipping has become such a hassle that it's no longer worth the time he loses on his craft.

When my dogs bark at the mailman (either he's on our porch loading up our mailbox, or we're out on a walk and he drives by in his delivery truck) I always tell them, "no, no, the mailman is a super-hero, don't bark at him!" All the troubles the UK is having with the post is just confirming that to me - such a simple thing we take for granted, but it's one of the foundations of modern civilization. When it breaks down it's a terrible thing.

If you look closely you'll see a ton of scratches from cutting up some abrasive cardboard yesterday. You'll also see some coffee from dropping the knife in the cup twice while trying to stage this shot.

Morning Guardians !

Carrying the Desert lamb today, it's got a bit of patina going already 👍

You’re on your way to a good day.
Thanks buddy, I missed the croissants in Charlie's, so I consoled myself with a large blueberry muffin! :D ;)

Thanks Tyson, it's more exasperating than troublesome :) That's a real shame, lots of small businesses are going under here right now, and a lot of European companies will no longer ship here :( They privatised the Royal Mail some years ago, and have been running it down since then. I was talking to a postie this morning, and he only confirmed what I already knew, that the mail doesn't get priority because there's no money in it, and RM want to divest themselves of that part of the business. They're actively destroying a service that goes back to the 1600s

A cutler once told me that cardboard and paper are really hard on an edge, because of things like china clay in the mix. I've dunked my knife a few times too! :D Nice pic :)
Oh, Jack Black Jack Black - Dawn just discovered a website called Radio Garden that allows you to listen to local radio stations around the world, so she's playing some pop station from Leeds today. The world is getting smaller all the time.
That's cool Tyson, It's a long time since I've listened to one of the local stations, but Cerys Matthews is usually pretty good on BBC Radio 6 at 10.00am GMT Sunday mornings
