Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

One of my favorites! I may just pull out my copy to deal with day four of no cable TV or streaming internet. (I had to go down to the bank to do my banking yesterday, like in the pioneer days!)
Hope you find plenty to keep yourself occupied Rachel :)
Happy Saturday Guardians

Nice choice John, and a cool pic :)
Glad you’re back in the saddle, Jack. Nothing like a Saturday matinee. Followed by hoisting a few points.😂 Have fun.
Thanks buddy, not sure I'd last long in the saddle though, having only been on a horse once in my life! :D I did see pony trekking advertised on my vacation, and thought it would be a great way to explore the lunar landscape of Fuerteventura, but I also thought it had every chance of bringing my holiday to an end! ;)
Good Morning Guardians💂‍♀️
That Wostenholm is absolutely wonderful Harvey, and it looks even better coseying up to that tasty treat! :D ;)

Happy Saturday all, it's finally warming up a bit here today :)

Carrying my Sleevebaord Stag today

That's good news Steve :) That type of straight frame is known as a Candle-End in Sheffield Steve, which is an old name for a table cutlery pattern. A Sleeveboard is shaped just like the small ironing board it's named for :) Either way, it's a stunner

My back is still a bit sore, so I think I'm going to get a taxi down to my pals. By the time he's put the kids to bed, and got the beers out, it'll probably turn into a late night film viewing, rather than a matinee! :D I just hope I can stay awake, I've been tired today, but every time I've closed my eyes for a nap, I've been woken up, either by the door-bell, or my phone! Wishing everyone a good evening :)

Good idea.
I recommended these to my twin cousin when she was laid up with Lyme's disease.

They're easy to replace so they don't get lost.

Thanks for the correction Jack, I don't like to call it a Barlow as we know it isn't 👍

Candle-End it is ! 😀

Classic!
I actually went to a Star Trek convention when I was a teenager. We were living in Dallas, and the local Christian network channel that broadcast the shows in syndication didn't show three or four particular episodes, so the convention organizers brought the "banned episodes" to show on a big theater screen. It was a lot of fun to watch that way.

Congratulations. For the record, it's not mine. Still got it. ;)
What were the banned episodes?

Great day today. It creeped into the 30s! After a couple years of lusting over a Colt Python, today was the day that I finally got one. Maybe it will be warm enough tommorrow to send some lead downrange with it.

I went back to the same diner as yesterday and had a gluttonous affair with a country fried steak and eggs platter. I need to stay out of that place considering I could drop a few lbs as it is.

Carried the trusty ebony lamb today. Hope everyone had a great day.

Hope you’re having a great time at the pub, Jack. Feel better in the am.
Afternoon Guardians! Ethan is helping out today. 🤠 View attachment 2070765
Mighty nice, unique looking Stag, David.

Congrats on the Colt, Paul. Would love to see it. With a Lambfoot, of course.😂

I'm back! (for now, at least)
Hope you find plenty to keep yourself occupied Rachel :)
Fortunately, it was just an inconvenience for me. I have several friends who are still without power since Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, so I'm not complaining.
My next door neighbor and I moved some broken tree limbs that were leaning against her house, and cut down some small, low hanging branches before they could fall on my car.
So I kept myself busy and hardly had a chance to try out the suggestions in the Dangerous Book.

Those are both good ones. He wrote a few follow ups to Idle Thoughts. You can find a lot of Jerome K. Jerome ebooks for free, since most are out of copyright now. It's strange to read "Idle Ideas in 1905" on a kindle.
What were the banned episodes?
I don't know for sure why they were particularly objectionable to the station owners, but it seemed to be episodes featuring either humans attaining godlike powers, or anything considered "demonic".
One with the Enterprise transporting some orphan children who summoned a "friendly angel" alien, one with a couple crew members whose eyes glowed silver after gaining godlike powers, and I think one with a woman performing witchcraft, maybe to heal or bring Spock back to life. It's been a long time since I've seen them.
JohnDF JohnDF would know the titles.

Will do Harvey. Of course with a lamb!

Hello Guardians. It has been a week! The icy weather was beautiful but also a challenge. I’m sitting on the porch with Patches thinking about it and sipping some concentrated sunshine and spirits. Heard a fantastic WHOOSH sound on Wednesday. Found a limb down on our garage roof. Glad no one was hurt. That is the important thing.

I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Oh no! I’m glad everyone’s ok. That kind of ice is the worst!

Today I took my Stag HHB with me to the Klondike Dog Derby on Lake Minnetonka.

I made a longer post here in the Lounge, but here are a couple pics of the action.

Thanks! I didn't know about the further Idle Thoughts.
I don't know why I haven't sought out his autobiography yet. Maybe I've sought in vain and forgotten.
[Abe has some copies of My Life and Times. $20 though. I'll try interlibrary loan first.]

Wow. Wonderfully captured. Very cool. Thank you.

Putting Charlie to work and came through with flying colours. Making some Meatloaf, and there is one way to see if your knife has a sharp working edge, slicing and dicing onions. If it cuts straight through without trying to veer to one side, it's sharp. And this Lambsfoot is one of my best slicers, had it for 3 1/2 years and only been to a stone once, the quintessential Lambsfoot, just a good reliable work knife, what they were designed for.
