Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good idea.
I recommended these to my twin cousin when she was laid up with Lyme's disease.

They're easy to replace so they don't get lost.
Cool pics Jer :)
Thanks for the correction Jack, I don't like to call it a Barlow as we know it isn't 👍

Candle-End it is ! 😀
Definitely not a Barlow my friend! :D Before I got them to make my Hartshead Barlow, Wright's thought that a Barlow was a Clip-point Jack :D I always think of a Candle-End as a very specific shape, but the term is widely used in Sheffield. I think Wright's call their Swayback frame a 'curved pruner', or they certainly used to. They need a copy of Levine'! :D ;)
Afternoon Guardians! Ethan is helping out today. 🤠 View attachment 2070765
Looking good Steve :)
Great day today. It creeped into the 30s! After a couple years of lusting over a Colt Python, today was the day that I finally got one. Maybe it will be warm enough tommorrow to send some lead downrange with it.

I went back to the same diner as yesterday and had a gluttonous affair with a country fried steak and eggs platter. I need to stay out of that place considering I could drop a few lbs as it is.

Carried the trusty ebony lamb today. Hope everyone had a great day.

Congratulations buddy, sounds like a great day :)
Hope you’re having a great time at the pub, Jack. Feel better in the am.
Thanks Harvey, my mate's missus had gone over to Sheffield to see some friends, so we had to stay in and baby-sit :D Wasn't too hard ;)
I'm back! (for now, at least)

Fortunately, it was just an inconvenience for me. I have several friends who are still without power since Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, so I'm not complaining.
My next door neighbor and I moved some broken tree limbs that were leaning against her house, and cut down some small, low hanging branches before they could fall on my car.
So I kept myself busy and hardly had a chance to try out the suggestions in the Dangerous Book.

Those are both good ones. He wrote a few follow ups to Idle Thoughts. You can find a lot of Jerome K. Jerome ebooks for free, since most are out of copyright now. It's strange to read "Idle Ideas in 1905" on a kindle.
Great news Rachel :) Sounds like you've been keeping busy  I bought my old neighbour's kid several different Dangerous editions, but in retrospect they were a waste of money - lad spent so much time playing computer games, he wouldn't leave the house, even when other kids called for him! Now he's an obese, myopic, monosyllabic, joint-smoking, adult, who still prefers playing computer games to going to college or getting a job. A shame :(
Sorry to hear about your back (again!), Jack. 🙁Hope you had a nice evening.
Thanks pal, I'm trying to pretend it's OK! :D ;)
Today I took my Stag HHB with me to the Klondike Dog Derby on Lake Minnetonka.

I made a longer post here in the Lounge, but here are a couple pics of the action.

Wow! That looks great Barrett! Great pics too :) I bet the girls loved it :)
Thanks! I didn't know about the further Idle Thoughts.
I don't know why I haven't sought out his autobiography yet. Maybe I've sought in vain and forgotten.
[Abe has some copies of My Life and Times. $20 though. I'll try interlibrary loan first.]

Looks like you got a bargain there Jer :)
Cool pic Dwight :)
Putting Charlie to work and came through with flying colours. Making some Meatloaf, and there is one way to see if your knife has a sharp working edge, slicing and dicing onions. If it cuts straight through without trying to veer to one side, it's sharp. And this Lambsfoot is one of my best slicers, had it for 3 1/2 years and only been to a stone once, the quintessential Lambsfoot, just a good reliable work knife, what they were designed for.

Nice work Leon, I bet it was delicious :) Hope you had a great weekend mate

Good morning Guardians, hope you're all having a nice weekend :) I had a late one last night. My pal works shifts a lot of the time, and we're in different time-zones! :D I got there just he was putting his youngest to bed, and then his boy went up an hour later. We watched a couple of movies, but I think my friend would have been happy to watch a couple more! :D It was 2.30am when I got back home as it was! :D I don't have anything planned for today, but it might involve an afternoon nap ;) Thought I'd ogle the Yorkshire Rose :D Enjoy your Sunday Guardians :)

I don't remember where that store was, but at 4 packs for a dollar, no wonder I inherited so many playing cards.

Oh no! I’m glad everyone’s ok. That kind of ice is the worst!

LOL! :D I can't resist a bargain either Jer :D I must confess though, having looked at your photo on my phone, I thought the price-tag related to the gloves! 😖 🤣

We could do with some good news here! ;)

Good morning Guardians. A bit overcast and cold outside today. My son is in town and going to referee a soccer tournament. I have no idea as to who is playing. All my kids played when they were young and I went to their matches but I really never got enamored with the game. I always looked at it as good exercise for my kids and a lesson in good sportsmanship. So, later on this morning I will transport my son to the field and then later on return to gather him up. Rain soaked and cold. Doesn't sound like fun to me. I have some indoor jobs to do today and I will rely on my HHB for help.

Looks like an advertising knife for Sheep Dip

Coopers Dipping Powder

Cooper began to conduct his own experiments with preparations of arsenic and sulphur. By 1852 his experiments were conclusive enough for him to market the first truly effective sheep dip, known as "Cooper's dip". The product was sold in a powdered form which was easily transportable.

Good morning Guardians! A good friend brought me two live Dungeness Crabs this morning from Fisherman’s Wharf. Pic was taken after cooking. All cleaned and in the fridge for Crab Cocktail! 😋
