Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I wouldn't have wanted to try to take that pic BEFORE cooking! Cool pic Dan, and some good eating :) I don't suppose they come any fresher
Thanks Jack! Yes, they were very lively! Having a long pair of tongs was helpful. IMHO there’s nothing sweeter than fresh Dungeness Crab!

I've been cleaning and oiling a pile of knives that were sitting around on my kitchen table, which included a double brace of Lambs ;)

Someone really loved this Rodgers, the edge is like a razor, and the they've made some effort with the repair.

I'm not sure why this Milner was out on the table, but things like that happen a lot at Grumble Towers ;) It's never going to make a nice example of the pattern, but I might leave it out, and take a file to the blade, to re-Lamb it

Good morning everyone. It is beautiful out today. A welcome break from the frigid temps of late. Church was good and had a great lunch with the family. I think Im off to the range to shoot the python. A quick hop out the truck shoot 20 rounds and hop back in the truck to walmart. Promised my wife I would make her some carne asada tacos today and Need some groceries. Got the stag lamb with me today. This is my favorite knife and it really isn't close. Have a great Sunday everyone.

I bet! :D I bet they were delicious :) My grandmother was a lover of crab, and would buy them from Sheffield market. I used to help her get the meat out as a boy. If we went to the coast, she would always buy at least one

I have to admit that Rick and his python is what got me interested in owning one. If I see any zombies I will make sure to handle it and take pictures with a lamb included of course 😆 🤣 😂.

Nice Python, first or second generation? I have a deep blued one and I’ve never shot a revolver with a smoother action.

Really?! :D:cool: Fifty years back, it would have been Magnum Force! 🤣

I love magnum force! I think it just so happened that when I started watching TWD, Colt announced the python being introduced again. I usually would never buy a handgun that expensive but believe it or not my wife convinced me to do it. I know...I know...I was shocked as well. I guess it pays off to watch stupid tv shows with your wife 🤣.

Well , I guess I jumped the gun on posting about the Barlow. I just got a message from the seller saying that he discovered that there is no tension at all on the backspring even when open. He's offered a refund which I took.

Kind of bummed but glad he checked before sending it all the way overseas.

Second. Its brand new. I would love an older one but they are going for anywhere from 3 to 6 thousand. The older blued ones are a treasure. Glad you have the pleasure of owning one Dan.

The trigger on the new ones are nice as well but not as good as the old.

Im glad you got that sorted out steve. Nothing worse then getting your hopes up for a knife and turning out to be a dud.

Honesty is not dead !...glad the dealer helped you out.

This Lambfoot from A. Wright arrived recently. Noticed that the pile side of the blade has dimples along the spine. I can feel them if I run my finger over them both on the side of the blade and the top/spine of the blade. They don't hurt a thing. I figure it happened when the blank blades were stamped. Anyway, thought I'd post it. Kinda interesting. Then again maybe not. I don't look at them as a flaw - just a quirk in the world of knife making.

That was a timely announcement on Colt's part, I wonder if they sponsored the show?! :D ;) Sounds like you have a great wife my friend :) Prior to TWD, the actor who plays Rick was quite well-known here for playing a teacher in a comedy show! :D Was strange seeing him his other role! 🤣

(Just spent 15 minutes trying to post a clip I can post here! :rolleyes:o_O)

That's really disappointing Steve, sorry for you mate :( That's VERY unusual, like crazily unusual! It looks like a knife which has been barely used, so the spring/tang shouldn't be worn. Have you thought about making the seller an offer, and having a new spring fitted?

Yikes, I've not been able to own firearms here for decades, and had kind of lost track of pricing!

That is interesting Ed  I've seen one or two like that myself, and worse. The blades are stamped in a press, before they're ground, but Wright's have a long-standing problem with blades coming back from HT slightly bent, and I think those marks are from them being straightened. Sometimes they have to be re-ground after too, sometimes they don't bother. Marks probably show more with the blade being unpolished
