I love magnum force! I think it just so happened that when I started watching TWD, Colt announced the python being introduced again. I usually would never buy a handgun that expensive but believe it or not my wife convinced me to do it. I know...I know...I was shocked as well. I guess it pays off to watch stupid tv shows with your wife

.
That was a timely announcement on Colt's part, I wonder if they sponsored the show?!

Sounds like you have a great wife my friend

Prior to TWD, the actor who plays Rick was quite well-known here for playing a teacher in a comedy show!

Was strange seeing him his other role!
(Just spent 15 minutes trying to post a clip I can post here!

)
Well , I guess I jumped the gun on posting about the Barlow. I just got a message from the seller saying that he discovered that there is no tension at all on the backspring even when open. He's offered a refund which I took.
Kind of bummed but glad he checked before sending it all the way overseas.
That's really disappointing Steve, sorry for you mate

That's VERY unusual, like crazily unusual! It looks like a knife which has been barely used, so the spring/tang shouldn't be worn. Have you thought about making the seller an offer, and having a new spring fitted?
Second. Its brand new. I would love an older one but they are going for anywhere from 3 to 6 thousand. The older blued ones are a treasure. Glad you have pleasure of owning one Dan.
The trigger on the new ones are nice as well but not as good as the old.
Yikes, I've not been able to own firearms here for decades, and had kind of lost track of pricing!
Im glad you got that sorted out steve. Nothing worse then getting your hopes up for a knife and turning out to be a dud.
Yeah
This Lambfoot from A. Wright arrived recently. Noticed that the pile side of the blade has dimples along the spine. I can feel them if I run my finger over them both on the side of the blade and the top/spine of the blade. They don't hurt a thing. I figure it happened when the blank blades were stamped. Anyway, thought I'd post it. Kinda interesting. Then again maybe not. I don't look at them as a flaw - just a quirk in the world of knife making.

That is interesting Ed

I've seen one or two like that myself, and worse. The blades are stamped in a press, before they're ground, but Wright's have a long-standing problem with blades coming back from HT slightly bent, and I think those marks are from them being straightened. Sometimes they have to be re-ground after too, sometimes they don't bother. Marks probably show more with the blade being unpolished
