Glad to hear about tool man Jack.Great photo
That's nice to hear
I've just had a phonecall from Tool Man. I could tell he was at home straight away, as he started rabbiting on, coincidentally, about the afore-mentioned Porridge, as soon as I answered the phone! I eventually managed to enquire after his health, and he confirmed he was back home, having managed to upset every female member of his family like a row of falling dominos, commencing with his long-suffering daughter, who he'd condemned for failing to smuggle his requested quantity of booze into the hospital! He now plans to compensate his liver for the omission!Possibly, I will get more detailed information about his health tomorrow!

Thank you for the further context. I’m a big fan of context. The market was better back then, and I used to head down there early to scoop up the sort of pointy treasure I just don't see there anymore. Then I'd usually head over to another Yorkshire market. I have a mate called Bod, who bought gardening tools from Tool Man, and I would usually look on his stall. He knew I was a mate of Bod's, and asked me if I would give him Bod's phone number. Being a stickler for etiquette, I suggested Tool Man give me HIS number, and I'd pass it onto Bod. I passed the request on by text, and having gained Bod's permission, passed on his number. I got on with Tool Man pretty much immediately, and would generally spend a bit of time with him behind the stall, before heading off. One Yorkshire Day, I had gone to the coast, and he rang me to see if I was OK, as I hadn't been to the market, which all my other friends thought hilarious. Not long after, he invited me to his wedding. It's rare I've missed a Thursday since, and while I know all the other traders, I generally spend 90% of my time at the market with Tool Man, and all the other regulars who call in![]()
