Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thank you. The knife gods were with me. Somehow I stumbled on to it here in the US. AND it is a "salesman's sample" to boot! :D

I love to view your ever growing flock of lambs Harvey... or should I say ... HERD 🤔🙂

Ya gotta love him.

What a beautiful CC lambsfoot!

Yes, ya gotta love him. :)

Love old salty Spalty.

🤔 I don't know Jack. That's a pretty leaky vessel to be pouring much hope into...😁

Thanks Dwight. I particularly like the curly maple covers.
Look what came today. 😃
Fit and finish seem spot on. Except maybe for the edge which is a bit messy and dull but easy enough to neaten up. It doesn’t even catch my finger nail anywhere along the blade lol.
I have a lambfoot finally!! 🥳View attachment 2076556View attachment 2076557View attachment 2076558View attachment 2076559View attachment 2076560
Congrats on your new lamb.

Although I have to say using C70 steel is kind of a let down for the price. Although I trust they do a good job with the heat treat. Regardless, it's going to be used with reckless abandon. It feels good to add such an iconic blade to my collection and feel part of a dedicated group of enthusiasts. I assume one must be invited to use the Guardians signature.

Thank you Dwight. Your image is as fine as the Lambfoot it showcases.

Congratulation on your beautiful Lambfoot. C70 is common and should serve you well.

Afternoon Guardians! Glad to hear Tool Man is out of the hospital. Ethan is standing guard today.

Awesome picture dwight. I will refrain from a dumb guess on the origin on the coins today :).
This one today. I hope everyone has had a good week. Glad Tool Man made it home. View attachment 2076503View attachment 2076512

C70 is a great steel in my opinion. I don't think it will let you down. Strops like a dream as well.

This lamb has been a pretty constant companion since I got it.

Fantastic Jeremy, nice patina. 😎👍
All photos are welcome in my book. Great picture recycled or not.
Thanks Paul. Turns out the teacher using my room left sick so I got out the disinfectant spray! 🤣
Beautiful photo Dwight, fantastic stag. 😎👍

Welcome to the Guardians Gus! 🎉 That's some nice-looking wood  Sorry to hear about the edge  If it's fresh from the factory, you'll probably find flushing the joint out with oil and compressed air gives it a smoother action

I'm sure many of us initially thought the same thing in terms of the steel Gus, but hopefully you'll find it acceptable :) Great to have you here  Please read post #1 in full, and feel free to add the banner, you're a Guardian now :)
Thanks Paul. Turns out the teacher using my room left sick so I got out the disinfectant spray! 🤣
 🤣

That it does my friend, that it does. I was told as a kid that one of the reasons that farmers carried them here was, at the end of the day an edge could be bought back to good working order very easily.
I think Sheffield has always taken that sort of approach to carbon steel, running it so it was perfect for a working knife
All this talk and photos of horn, reminded me to pull this out and give it a tune up.

That's some stellar horn my friend, very nice indeed
Thanks. It took a bit of hunting and tracking to find one that i really liked.
Congratulations :) I think I might join you in carrying horn today, if you don't mind Leon :)

Good morning, nice to have a new member join us here :) I hope everyone has had a good week :) Perhaps strangely, Tool Man seems to have quite enjoyed his adventures this week, and being fussed over  I remember him being similarly excited when a stone went through the windscreen of his Landrover, causing him to swerve all over the road, last year  Daft as a brush!🤣 My week has been OK, and has gone quickly, as they do, as you get older ;) I think I'm going to do a bit of housework this morning, and maybe walk down to Charlie's later ;) Hope your Friday goes well, and that you are looking forward to the weekend :) I've been inspired to carry an Old Friend today, the original 2017 Guardians Lambsfoot SFO
