Congrats and very nice coat.Look what came today.
Fit and finish seem spot on. Except maybe for the edge which is a bit messy and dull but easy enough to neaten up. It doesn’t even catch my finger nail anywhere along the blade lol.
I have a lambfoot finally!!View attachment 2076556View attachment 2076557View attachment 2076558View attachment 2076559View attachment 2076560

C70 is a great steel in my opinion. I don't think it will let you down. Strops like a dream as well.Although I have to say using C70 steel is kind of a let down for the price. Although I trust they do a good job with the heat treat. Regardless, it's going to be used with reckless abandon. It feels good to add such an iconic blade to my collection and feel part of a dedicated group of enthusiasts. I assume one must be invited to use the Guardians signature.
Fantastic Jeremy, nice patina. This lamb has been a pretty constant companion since I got it.

That it does my friend, that it does. I was told as a kid that one of the reasons that farmers carried them here was, at the end of the day an edge could be bought back to good working order very easily.Strops like a dream as well.
Thats it. Im on the hunt. The horn was too much today. I must have one.All this talk and photos of horn, reminded me to pull this out and give it a tune up.

I'm sure many of us initially thought the same thing in terms of the steel Gus, but hopefully you'll find it acceptableAlthough I have to say using C70 steel is kind of a let down for the price. Although I trust they do a good job with the heat treat. Regardless, it's going to be used with reckless abandon. I think Sheffield has always taken that sort of approach to carbon steel, running it so it was perfect for a working knife
