Pizza is nothing special just a little Pizza Hut. Thanks for the information Jack.Glad it was a great SuperbowlTake out pizza would be the highlight of my week!
I only order a few times a year, but sadly my favourite local pizza place of the last 21 years has closed down due to the owner retiring
That's interesting Paul, I'm afraid I don't know anything about the wood, post-1982, those IXL knives were made by so many different cutlers. Stan Shaw even made knives for Eggington for some years, before falling out with the old gaffer there

Cool pic of your HHB Jack!Good morning Guardians, a few hangovers this morning I imagine, but I hope everyone had a great weekendMaybe one or two of you were lucky enough to get hold of one of Eric's Lambsfoot models, which dropped in the early hours here. Dull and overcast today in Yorkshire, but not raining at least. I have a few things to do at home, and then I'm going to head down to Charlie's, and then into town. I hope your week gets off to a good start Guardians, and enjoy carrying your Lambsfoot

Some great views, but I was warned in advance, not to get my camera out, to keep my knife in my pocket, to not speak of anything remotely controversial/interesting, and to adopt the vocabulary of Mary Poppins
Fortunately, just before kick-off, my mate's brother turned up, with his Irish girlfriend, and supplies from the village's fish and chip shop, which was established in 1911, in a building dating from 1637, which injected a healthy dose of fun!

(Photo taken on a previous visit)
Thanks to a local sponsor, the boys were very well kitted outIt turns out they are the youngest team of Shadwell United F.C., a tiny amateur team, named for the village. By coincidence, the very forgettable British football hooligan film, I.D., is set in the fictional London suburb 'Shadwell'!
Unfortunately, I could not find a video clip with the vocabulary of Mary Poppins!![]()

Thanks Harvey, I am afraid, that I will have to rely on photos taken previously in the pretty village, which I occasionally pass through on my hikes. It has some beautiful old buildings.

As well as the afore-mentioned restrictions placed upon me at the football match, I was also unable to give my mate his birthday presents, being as one of them was a large axe, which I thought it best not to wave around in the presence of so many delicate sensibilities![]()
After the game, we departed to the pub, and en route, I gave him the gifts
There's only one pub in the village, The Red Lion, but it's a friendly enough place, with good ale, and it turned out to be managed by the parents of one of my pal's lad's team-mates. So the grown-ups got to have a pint, while half a dozen of Shadwell United's young players drank coke, and played darts, nervously watched by my mate

I can remember when Lagavulin 16 was my regular tipple!I don't think I was any more affluent then, but it was considerably less expensive

Good morning Guardians. I missed the whiskey/whisky talk last night. My wife’s dad was a scotch drinker. I really tried to like it but after I knew he was going to let me marry his daughter I went back to bourbon.
I’ve been sipping on Woodford Double Oak and Maker’s Cask Strength but my “EDC” is 101.I buy it in the big bottle. This one needs replacing. View attachment 2079843
Jack educated me as well Mike. My candle end is my favorite lamb. View attachment 2080390
I hope all you Superbowl fans are having a great dayWhile you've been enjoying yourselves I've been taking a trip down Memory Lane! Back more than 30 years, to Twin Peaks!
I was still in my late 20's when the first season was screened, and everyone I knew looked forward to every episode. About two thirds of the way through Season One, I moved, with my young family, to France, but before leaving, I made my younger brother promise to TAPE me every forthcoming episodeThings didn't work out in France, and 6 months later we moved back. It was a while before I sat down to watch the episodes I'd missed, and I couldn't believe what a lot of rubbish they were!

Thanks Paul. Yours is definitely looking good.Looks like a great night John.
In my younger days I would have overindulged for sure. I am smart enough now to keep it to just a couple if I have work the next day. Lamb drop during the Superbowl? That is tough lol. Wonderful HHB as always Jack. Have a great day in town.
Real Nice wood on that one Bob.
Love the HHB Bill.
Sorry to hear about Julie's grandfather Barrett, but glad you were able to meet up with familyHappy Monday, Guardians! I just finished catching up on the last several days worth of posts here. We were in Springfield, Missouri from Thursday through Saturday for my wife’s grandfather’s funeral. Despite the reason for the trip, we had a nice time. The girls enjoyed playing with cousins they don’t get to see very often, after the funeral we had all-you-can-eat fried catfish at one of Great-Grandpa’s favorite restaurants, and we took the kids to a cool aquarium that is part of the Bass Pro Shops in Springfield.
Thanks for continuing to maintain the Guardians Map my friend, and I hope more folks take you up on your offerA couple Guardians have reached out to me in the last couple weeks asking to be added to the Guardians Map. I’m hoping to finally get around to doing that today. (If anyone else needs added, just let me know.)
Thanks buddy, I'm thinking of heading out that way again tomorrowSounds like a nice day, Jack. Great photos!![]()
I reckon so Barrett, prices have gone crazy these past few yearsIt’s hard to justify drinking that one on a daily basis now, isn’t it?![]()
I'm just watching the second season now Barrett, and realised I'd only seen a few of the episodes from that season, as it got so darn crazy!I watch Twin Peaks for the first time a few years ago. I really enjoyed the short first season, but it got super weird in the much-longer second season. I started watching the 2017 reboot (which was also very strange), but I don’t think I ever finished it.
They do look nice, I think Eric managed to get the Lambsfoot blade just perfect from the look of it. I hope a few Guardians managed to get oneI’ll be interested to see, when folks start getting them, how many Guardians managed to get an Albers Lambsfoot. I missed the drop, unfortunately. They look quite nice.
Great image, Steve.Good morning Guardians !
