Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Every year, less and less of my students have seen Monty Python's Holy Grail. It's a sad reflection on today's youth.

Yeah, I don't know, it's a while since I saw it, would still probably laugh my backside off, but I remember laughing like crazy at the TV show as a kid, and everyone would say, 'This is timeless, it'll never date'. You watch it now, and you really wonder what they were putting in the tea back then! ;) :D  When I was a young working man, we'd sometimes hear middle-class students, the same age as us, reciting The Parrot Sketch word for word, and guffawing all over the place, and we really didn't think a lot of those guys. I guess each generation has their own humour - bit lost as to what it is, but it's a theory! ;) :D

Monty Python was funny, but the Three Stooges and Marx Brothers are more my speed. And Bob Hope, especially the Road movies with Bing Crosby.
(And no, I'm not THAT old: watched re-broadcasts.)

Me too John, it's a long time since I saw the Road movies, but I really do think the Three Stooges and Marx Brothers are genuinely timeless classic humour :) They were ancient when I first saw them, and they were as funny as it gets :) I'd say the same about Laurel & Hardy, Langdon, Keaton, Chaplin, etc :)

It's been a LONG week, and I know next week will be too, so I'm taking tomorrow off, and heading over to the nearby West Yorkshire town of Huddersfield, to visit the Saturday flea-market, and hopefully have a wee hike :) I'm going to have these two with me. Have a great weekend folks
