Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

This thread is cracking along almost as fast as the daily trad' carry thread  Just been catching up on the past week; some really interesting posts on the different woods. Another extremely interesting BF educational supplement; thanks everyone

:D Beautiful! Whose garden is that?

It's the ruins of Sawley Abbey in the county of Lancashire. Unlike some ruins this is only a small site.

Great to see you mate, cool pic of your large rosewood! :D

I had planned to go to Huddersfield today, but there was a train strike, so I diverted to York and Tadcaster

When I read you were going to Huddersfield I wondered how you were going to get there. Northern trains are on strike on all Saturdays through September.

Lovely pictures of your new Stag, Jack!

I am carrying mine today as it is Saturday, after all. I hope everyone is having a good weekend and a good Holiday to those who celebrate it.

Yeah, I was talking to one of the RMT pickets. We got on the Express Coastliner (bus) service to York. That one doesn't stop in Tadcaster, so we called in Tad on the way back. Unfortunately, most of the shops in Tadcaster close at lunchtime on Saturdays for some reason! First time I've been there since my trip with Earl! :D I was going to treat myself to a bottle of Sam Smith's Stingo, but no chance unfortunately :(

That's right it's Saturday sausage sandwich day! I remember years ago on a flight back from a week in Hong Kong, all I could think about was a bologna sandwich, with tomato, mayo, and mustard. :p

:D

I was once sat on the beach at Barceloneta at 6am, eating churros with an Italian girl, after a great Mayday, and dancing all night at a Gypsy Flamenco festival, and she said, "What I could really eat now are some greasy English chips!" :D

Here's another pic of my AC Lambsfoot, if you look closely you can see the point peeping out of the frame o_O I should fix it before I take anymore pics really

A few of you long-term members may remember my series of threads about Sheffield's River Porter (https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/the-dairy-maids-of-porter-brook-part-1.1229530/) . I had originally planned to write about all Sheffield's rivers, and the cutlery wheels which were once dotted along them. Changes to the BF software make those sort of threads difficult, but I came across this short film about Sheffield's River Sheaf, which I thought might be of interest

Thank you very much Dylan, sorry for missing your post before, I think I must have been writing my post and waiting for the pic to upload. That's another great shot of your wee staggy :)

They used to sell Stingo in the Bottle Shop on Stonegate in York. The last time I called in there though it had all gone three-quarters craft beers in cans, so I'm not sure if they do anymore. The Sam Smith's pub I go to in Chester sell Stingo but I think it's about £6? a bottle.

Great stag lambsfoot

Morning all.
